I'd go to every game if I could, but I can't afford it at the moment being a student and that, none of my mates can either.
I've been to every EL game this season in the KOP because those are reasonably priced and there are tickets available. I walk to the game; takes me 40 minutes but I love the feeling of approaching the stadium and getting that buzz.
At the Anzhi game I was there way before kick off soaking up the atmosphere, watching the players warm up, etc. This got a little ruined by a bloke who came in and stood right in front of me he said "hello" to the other bloke who was standing to my left but remained standing right there in front of me. When I said "excuse me mate" he said "You're in my seat, I'm a season ticket holder".
Now I was a bit confused cause you can imagine I triple checked my seat, it being one of my rare outings and such. What happened is he didn't want to go at first so gave up his ticket (which I bought online) then his mate that sits next to him, to his right gave him his ticket, when he came in he just went to his seat where I was and stood in front of me. I just said "sorry mate" and moved to the seat to his right, no problem but if he was polite I wouldn't even had cared. Nonetheless I wasn't gonna let that ruin anything. I was singing YNWA with teary eyes noticed the two blokes to my left weren't singing at all, nor joining in with the chants during the match or anything.
Anyway the point of that story is that the season ticket holders can be an intimidating bunch; especially when they don't sing so make you feel a bit awkward. I'd have loved for one of em to say something like "haven't seen you here before mate" or be a bit more friendly in general.
