Agreed. It's just another of those media myths about our squad.

Was the Lucas Neil thing meant to be a joke? ???

Good read though, thanks. Hope Pepe has the last laugh on Tuesday.

Tired&Emotional
Tricky. I wouldn't bet on you winning without those 4 (the first 3 in particular). A draw may well be on the cards.

Chiswick_Wolf
Difficult one to call - it depends which teams turn up - both from Wolves and Liverpool perspectives. I watched some of the Tottenham game last night and its the best I've seen Liverpool play when coping without Gerrard and Torres. Perhaps Benitez has found a system that works when the two big guns are out. Will we see the same set up and performance? At Anfield I thought that Wolves coped remarkably well with what Liverpool threw at them in the first 30 mins or so, frustrating them into predominantly speculative long shots. We then began to get a bit more of a foothold in the game and I'd argue that we started the second half extremely well and looked the most likely to score...then there came the sending off and that really changed the game.

Just like the performances against united an a few others when we beat them without Gerrard, Torres etc!

I’d like to think we an give you a scare. We’re capable of raising our game and have done so in the past, but on the flip side, we’ve also let a goal in and then gone on to be comfortably beaten by the better teams in this league too. A lot will come down to who scores first. I’ll go for 1-1. We’re missing key players and so are you. On the previous fixture, I felt we were harshly treated by the referee – but if you’d sat in on every game we’ve played this season, you’d probably say it’s become fairly standard. The sad fact is, key decisions don’t go the way of the ‘smaller’ teams. There’s also a lot of hate from Wolves fans for the way Reina reacted in that game (running the length of the pitch to get a player sent off), so don’t expect a good response for him from the Molineux crowd.
North West Wanderer

I fancy us to take points off you although you're not as weak as some would have us think! 2-2. We'll be desperate to beat you after how unlucky we were last time and Reina is going to get unbelievable shit!

Blame the refs for that.  Its their thick fuckin faults for gettin it wrong in the 1st place.  At no time did Reina do somethin that was unwarrented.  Imagine if it was gerrard who should have been booked for the second time.  Shoe, other foot an all that bollocks.  Its a good job he done that if anythin.

If you can't keep Gerrard and Torres fit you will finish 7th. If you can 5th. Benitez has asssembled a midtable team and weakened your squad significantly. Does he seriously think Ngog is good enough?!

Weakened the squad.  Thats a fuckin giggle.  If anyone just puts the squad he inherited against the one now they'll see how retarded that statment was.

reanswolf
Gerrard is on the decline IMO now, I know this is contraversial & you will disagree - still a great player but when I watch him I sense his mobility is 'fractionally' on the decline now. A wonderful player tho. To answer the question, Lucas Neil (very unspectacular, never provides moments of class, jack-of-no-trades typical Wolves-type player of last 35 years). Seriously though, Benny-who-un and Mascherano.

Dont get it.  Or am I just bein retarded aswell?

Other than that fair play to most of it but come the day fuck ya's.  An hope Reina scores!

:lmao

I've no real problem with that statement... Kevin Doyle is a fine player, don't forget Crouch came from a relegated southampton team. Not all players in relegation battling sides are shite.

Also most of those lads were fairly sound, ok bar the completely lacking in relativity SSN soundbite about Ngog not being good enough..

Reanswolf is a very considerate and thoughtful poster, gives off the impression that his contributions would be as good as our own HBHR and Neil D..

Imo the :lmao above is the kind of disrespect that irks the so called "smaller club"

Sorry to butt in again guys... But are they really that miserable?
I thought they came accross quite well...

We have had about 101 manager and player bashing threads on here this season so far, and a mulititude of the media are out to get us threads. Some of us can be fairly bitter ourselves. Not saying there's anything wrong with that, just strikes a small bit of the pot calling the kettle black that's all.

Cheers for that.  Decent responses I thought.  A bit of ridicule in responses here re their views on some of our players but to be fair there's a lot of oppo fans who don't rate the likes of Ngog etc.

Sometimes our players aren't as good as we build them up to and on the other side of the coin they're not as shit as opponents downgrade them to.  Truth is they're somewhere in between.

I should add that there are some decent lads there and there is a lot of sense and its good to get another sides views....

Some clueless stuff too!

I hope Ngog scores the winner............failing that, Pepe Reina to score from a clearence to clinch the three points in the 98th minute......8 minutes of added time we're for Pepe changing his boots.....then his gloves.....then his scarf

Now that night is worth a thread on its own as it was effectively the start of our dominance of home and europe.
If my assistant had not signalled a goal, I would have given a penalty and sent off goalkeeper Patr Cheh. he beeped me to signal the foul. The noise from the crowd  stopped me hearing it, I have been involved at places like Barcelona, Ibrox, Old Trafford, Arsenal, but I've never in my life been involved in such an atmosphere. read through one topic on that forum about our game, one said the liverpool game is by far our easiest out of our next four games, we have more chance of beating Liverpool than Hull.

Seriously what fuckin planet are these small time c*nts on? We have taken 10 points out of our last 4 games.
Wait until we start playing well if thats the result of us playing shite.
