Had a cracking game and made a very good point of himself today IMO, you can tell Kenny coming in has give him a huge lift.

He deserves Dirk's spot on the team on merit now

Let's hope Kenny makes it happen soon

Gut feeling, think he'll be awesome under Kenny. And great to see Kenny being so reactive, and making substitutions early.
It wouldn't be Liverpool if we didn't do it the hard way... ask Gareth Southgate.

Love this guy always have. Ok at times he's annoyed me, but he's grown up alot more in the last year. Hope he can start against Blackpool.
I hope he can start on the right in Dirk's position. Thought he off it today!

Great attitude when he came on and worked very hard off the ball, but apart from that first little run didn't actually do much. Still made a couple of poor decisions and turned into trouble. Would still like to see him tried on the right, but completely given up on the idea of him doing anything much from the left. And he just isn't a striker.

Tried hard when he came on. I reckon Kenny's gonna give him plenty of chances.

Loved his challenge on Judas as well.

Much better, lively performance from the Dutchman. We'll make a footballer out of Babel yet!

Start him on one of the wings please Kenny.

Only really had that one little burst but put them on the back foot straight away, I'd love to see him given a run of games now because Dirk looks badly out of form although didn't do too bad today, Kenny will hopefully instil with some belief and we'll see what he's really about.

After a brief flurry after he came on, he showed the usual Babel 'no football brain' wrong decision making.

Should have flicked the ball to his right for Kuyt instead of going for goal at that daft angle, and tried twice to beat three men instead of keeping the move going with pass and move.

It's never going to work. Sell.

Got to get a run of games now, surely? As hard working and experienced as they are, having both of Kuyt and Maxi in the side neuters our attacking game and in turn leave Torres completely isolated. Babel might be a helmet but he's got pace and a bit of trickery.
If you can't trust Kenny, you need to find another club, seriously.

Exactly. I saw the replay and thought 'could he have nodded that back to N'Gog?' Then I thought 'I didn;t see it in real time from a TV angle, how the fuck is he supposed to see it looking at the ball?'

He's been putting in this sort of effort for 12 months now since Rafa threatened to sell him.

Hopefully he starts wednesday. If he does and doesnt play well, lets not just write him off, let him have a few starts and a settled run and we might see that potential that is obviously there.

He is better than anything else we have, that is all there is to it

Where Babel at least threatens an opposition defence, we've had endless hours of Dirk and co doing sweet FA against their opposite number.

His workrate has never ceased this season. Seriously he has to be in a starting position now. As soon as he came on we an out ball behind the defence which simply doesn't exist with Dirk and Maxi on the pitch and Torres in turn benefits.

....................Lucas............Raul
........Maxi..............Cole..............Babel
.............................Torres

Gotta be the attacking lineup for Blackpool if Cole is fit with Maxi and Babel switching when required
