An online petition will not force the owners to act.

They need to wake up and smell the coffee.

John Henry said he wanted a championship side within 3 years

he can have one this summer, if he doesnt sack Roy.

This has nothing to do with any online petition, nor is it intended to force the owners to do anything.  Other than that you're on the pulse as ever mate.

Our luck? We were lucky when we got Rafa, and still extremely lucky that he's still available for us. Luck's hardly the problem here.

I am quite puzzled by this matter. I have signed, and I stand by it, because I don't see Mr. Hodgson as the best man for the job, neither did I think it when I first heard he was the new manager. I remember a couple of years ago when Mr. Hodgson was the manager for my national team (I'm from Finland), and I recall that he used tactics quite defensive and got rather criticized for the inefficient attack, so when I saw he was the new manager for Liverpool FC I was doubtful, I hoped there wouldn't be any déjà vu sensation.

However, as long as he is our manager, he needs, or better still, deserves, our support. How is he supposed to be able to do anything without our support? How can we, the supporters, stand by and scream at Mr. Hodgson, whilst what we really should do is our job, which is supporting our team? I know I might sound like a hypocrite, saying that I don't believe he's the man for the job, but at the same time saying that he needs our support. It's hard though, isn't it? Supporting a man we don't find suitable. We might all realize he doesn't have what it takes, and even though we might not like him, he needs our support. Liverpool FC needs our support. Shouting at him won't make the thing better, in fact, it makes the situation even worse.

To summarize, I don't believe that Mr. Hodgson is the right man, but he Deserves our support as long as he is our manager. I might be happy the day I read that we've got a new manager, but still, as long as he's our manager, I will support him, it's the only thing I see correct to do. Who are we to turn the back on our own beloved club and execute our own manager? Where did the "we stand together in wet and dry" feeling go away, that we're supposed to be famous for? As I said in the beginning of this post, I am quite puzzled by this matter.  :butt

He wasn't run out by the 2 clowns - they'd already lost all control by then. And I think Purslow, a fan who found himself living the dream, was just the hatchet man for the same powerful force that keeps providing support for Roy. Only my opinion of course and not fact.

Enough is enough.....it is time to move now to save our club from further damage and disruption. You must act now to save what is already a terrible season that could get even worse if Roy is allowed to continue....

Dear Mr.Henry,

I am sure that if you had an employee within your organisation who was instigating / allowing / perpetrating corporate damage as well as alienating your workforce then tyou would take immediate action. Whether that be termination or suspension would be up to you but the simple fact is that you would HAVE to act to save both consumer and client relations.

Apologies for the analogy but that is what is happening at LFC, one man is upsetting many thousands on a global scale and your 'club / company' are suffering greatly for it. Your product / investment / club value is being diminished globally on an hourly basis and until action is taken will continue to do so.

Do the right thing, terminate Mr.Hodgson's position with immediate effect . Strengthen your company/brand/club and make a positive decision NOW! and in the process make a lot of people happy again.

The answer to the problem and the power to rectify and rescue is in your hand's alone, listen to the people who are aching for you to take action and do the right thing, the positive value in the long term will be amazing for you and you will be seen as a compassionate saviour rather than a benign overseer. You will never , ever experience anything like the love and appreciation of the LFC family and will be held in the steem of a privileged few who have gone before you. We look after 'our own'.

You did so much hard work to come to our rescue and own the company, please don't let all that be in vain....act NOW

Plenty of misspellings - far too much corporate jargon in an attempt to relate, and above all unnecessary. He is quite aware of the fans position.

Has it crossed your mind that perhaps the wheels are firmly in motion behind the scenes and ensuring the result of any decision has no rash consequences by planning in advance is part of the delay?

To remove one manager, and install another will require majority board approval, funds to be available, contracts to be negotiated and a replacement with the i's dotted and t's crossed ready to start at an appropriate time swiftly after a previous regime is axed?

These things take time, have faith...

The on-line petition http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?hodgson has nor reached 20382 signatures.

How long can you say nothing and do nothing?

John Barnes is wrong; even in the unlikely event that Roy manages to win a few matches it will not change the way we feel about him. For that to happen as well as getting results he would need to change his whole footballing philosophy.

Liverpool fans have rejected Roy Hodgson. We do not want him. Surely this must be clear?

I cannot understand why you do not act, match-going fans will vote with their feet and sales of official goods will plummet. This isn;t an organised campaign, just the result of the disillusionment caused by one man tearing the footballing spirit out of the club.

I don't want for there to be a breakdown in the relationship between you, our club owners, and the fanbase before it's even gotten off the ground but you are risking that very thing by refusing to act.

And that can only be damaging for the long term health of the club. We understand you want to make decisions for the long term but sometimes to do that you must also make the correct short-term decisions.

Now is one of those times.

I'm a believer.

Watch this video. It is from April 4, 2009. Rafa Benitez was our manager. Roy Hodgson was in the other dugout.

Please do the right thing. Soon. Thank you for considering.  :)

Can people stop slagging the fuck out of the new owners? It's reactionary and embarrassing. Some saying "Don't make me hate you as much as Hicks and Gillett"!?! Get a fuckin' grip will you! Henry and Werner are not fucking idiots. They know the feelings of the fan base. It's not just as simple as saying "Hit the bricks, Roy lad!" and then bringing in a.n. other manager. Take a look at yourselves, some of you. Jesus!

People saying that NESV are as bad as Hicks and Gillett cos they're taking their time (possibly crossing the t's and dotting the i's in a contract termination or fully lining up a proper replacement)?

One can't beg for all LFC matters to be kept in house (The Liverpoo Way I guess) for years and years, and then call for the managers head and expect an immediate response.  It is hypocritical in my opinion.  This is not directed at any one person in particular.  It is directed at the general tone of all these boards the last few years versus today.

I for one, never want to hear a word out of the 'owners' mouths.  I would prefer not to know their names if at all possible.
