Think in the Premier League at least, Suso would be wasted playing deep. We saw last season in particular the dominance of players of his ilk and how defenders just cannot handle it, Coutinho being one example. Suso could tear defences to shreds.

Daniel De Silva of Australia playing well in an attacking midfield role. Youngest player in the squad.

Yeah he's the one. But right now he's pulling a David Luiz, good presence on top put he's leaving too many holes at the back!

::)

You mean big black players like 'Pogba' who are every bit as technically gifted as small Spanish players, with the added physical strength?

But then again your the same person who tries to act as if Toure is just a physically big colossus with no skill at all. And African teams tend to have a lot of players with pace, but normally the average height of their players isn't too dissimilar to any other nation.
Don't get me wrong, I thought writing that will and does sound racist, but didn't you look at French team, 8-9 players of which have African origins, and wondered about it? I remembered Blanc's interview, and how physicality is taking over youth coaching in France.

Pogba may as well be technical. But how many of the 8-9 are there for technical qualities, and how many are for stamina, pace and strength? To be frank, it just got me wondering. I don't care what French policy is.

I never knew that happened but that makes much sense.  Think there was a lad called Henri Saivet a few years ago for instance.  He had already made his first team debut at 17 I think and watching him play, you could see why.  He was just fucking rapid.  I mean seriously rapid and there was simply no catching him. He's done absolutely fuckall since and a lot of French 'prospects' have gone down the same route off late. The lad that Roma signed, Jeremy Menez was supposed to be the pick of the lot and while he is a good player he is nowhere near what France had in the late 90's.

Aaaaaah Henri Saivet! One of my first FM buys, still have a soft spot for him :D he scored recently in something...Toulon? I don't remember

Didn't think it was racist at all. Just the typical pretentious talk i sometimes here from fans of Spanish football, who think every player should play and look the same way. France have players that are physically developed, but the likes of Kondogbia Pogba Thauvin are technically adept to, even their cb Kurt Zouma is relatively good at playing the ball out from the back.

And France have always had players of African origin in their teams, i don't know about Blancs comments but i'm sure he wasn't complaining when the likes of Viera, Thuram, Desailly, and co physically dominating French players of African origin helped him get a world cup medal.

what blanc was supposed to have said was racist, fortunately he didn't say it, and what he did say was taken pretty seriously out of context.

New Zealand lost 0-3 to Uzbekistan  :o I was surprised to see the senior side of Uzbekistan nearly qualifying for the World Cup 2014, but it seems the Uzbek team has a bright future ahead.. Anyway, watched the first 50 mins of Chile - Egypt, and the Chilean right back and Kahraba from Egypt impressed me, both very talented.

Vanishing spray to be used for first time in a FIFA competition

The vanishing spray is to be utilised at a FIFA competition for the first time, with referees set to test it during the FIFA U-20 World Cup Turkey 2013 between 21 June and 13 July.

The spray is aimed at giving match officials the opportunity to mark a line on which the defending team must line up its defensive wall before a free kick is taken. Produced by the Argentinian company Fair Play 9.15 Limit, the spray marks a white line on the grass, which indicates clearly any attempted encroachment by players aimed at narrowing the angle or affecting the taking of the free-kick.

The spray is a non-contaminating foam that can be used on grass, synthetic and dirt pitches, and disappears between 45 seconds and two minutes of being applied. It will be used on a trial basis in all 52 matches of the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey.

Until the end of the month here is the progression an English youngster must take to play senior international football.

Noel Blake -> Peter Taylor -> Stuart Pearce -> Roy Hodgson

A billion pounds on Wembley and St George's park and those are the 4 men entrusted to develop English players after they're old enough to sign pro-forms.

Honestly, the FA need to sit down in lotus position, empty a can of gasoline over themselves and spark up.

To be fair, the development is down to the clubs...but with that being the case, spending all that money when you have little involvement in the development of players, is puzzling.
