One of those days. We didn't play well but could have had 3 or 4. Not only was their keeper good, but absolutely everything went their way: lucky richochets, bounce of the ball, ref etc...

Not worried in the slightest, we'll do them away.

things to take away from the game.

1. We`re still in the FA Cup (Cheslsea,City,Spurs  :lmao).
2. It`s a game closer to getting Sturridge back.
3. We really,really need a goalscorer.
4. Markovic looks a player(how fucking quick is he  :o)
5. Kevin Friend is a c*nt
6. See number 5

Kevin is not my fucking Friend.

Thought Markovic and Sterling should've switched sides when Manquillo came off. RW Sterling is nowhere near as effective, but Markovic a highlight for me today. Henderson my MOTM though.

If you cant score you cant win. We'll well into the season here and players like Lallana were chased in the summer to provide a way yo unlock PL defences nevermind championship standard. hats the point in bringing in a creative player for a big fee when you lose the person who puts the ball in the net.

Sometimes the rest of the team can be average but a good striker will always win you games. Can anyone say, apart from Sturridge that we have a good striker at the club? I cant. Borini, Lambert and Balotelli clearly arent up to the job and that wont change from now to however long theyre here. Get them out and get someone in asap and we may have ahave a chance and propably would have won that tonight.

People still putting all their hopes in Sturridge returning too, there's every chance he will get injured again and then we are back to where we are. Sterling is being wasted the way he is being shifted everywhere.

It is shocking we aren't looking to get a striker in.

The team is playing ok, but to not fix that glaring issue is criminal.

We probably need to sell first but i agree that relying on DS to score an stay fit will blow up in our faces.
He'll win the league in the next 3 years. Quote me on that.
Quote me on this, but come next season he'll be great for us. Just needs to remove the walking headless chicken next to him

We have been playing well up to the oppositions box but fucking hell we lack so much ruthlessness. Its not evident in any of our attacking midfielders. Plus in Borini, Balotelli and Lambert we have the shittest available strike force.

I cannot believe we have to rely on Sturridge coming back whenever that may fucking be.

Survived the great Premier League bludgeoning of 2015.

Shame about the extra game, expect Sturridge will be back then.

On to Chelsea.
Well put.

Absolutely, they will not play like that at home. Plus we might actually have a ref who knows what they are fucking doing. That was one of the worst refereeing displays I have ever seen.

Played well, but they defended well, and their goalie just had one of those days.

We're so lacking a decent striker. Our build up play is good, but that extra bit of quality that a top striker would have just isn't there.

I'm not sure what's happened to Balotelli but at least he has a crack on goal that are decent every now and again, which may have helped in a game like this.

I still think we were way better today than some games earlier in the season by the way. At least the defence looks a lot more sorted than once upon a time, so we can focus on our deficiencies at the other end.

This.

Perhaps a couple of below par performance sindividually, but the shape of the team was good, we were totally dominant, another clean sheet for Mignolet, still in the cup although replay is a pain in the arse. Not too down about it.

Liverpool 0 Bolton 0 Kevin 'nobodies' Frend 2

Apparently the magic of the FA cup is shitty refereeing and ignoring red cards/stone cold penalties.

Tiresome. Absolutely tiresome. All those media wanks who complain about the FA cup no longer being important, here's why PL side can't be bothered. Shithouse tackles, refs turning a blind eye (always in favour of the lower division side), ten men behind a ball for 90 minutes being described as 'a wonderful defensive display'.

Pure shit.

Saying that, if I never see Allen, Enrique and Johnson in a Liverpool top again, it will be too soon.

Besides that, I thought the team played well and were unlucky/refereed out of the game.
Beatings will continue until morale improves...

they defended brilliantly and we weren't clinical enough, but we should have been playing against 10 men for about 40min which surely would have made a difference.

Controlled most of the game but its days like this when we do miss someone like Sturridge.

Everyone knows we need another striker.
Everyone knows another goalscorer would make us into a really good side.

Everyone that is barring the people who actually make these decisions.

How can anyone watch us lately and not come to the conclusion we need a goalscorer. We simply cannot rely on Sturridge and if we lose him again, it will be an unsuccessful season. That would be a real shame because there is a lot of good things about this Liverpool side.

Rodgers lost this game with his teamsheet.

Johnson needs to never play for us again. I swear his complacency is contagious. Whenever he's on the field, the side is less intense. It's a serious leadership issue. You can't have veterans nonchalantly jogging/walking around. You want your leaders engaged at all times.

Allen isn't good enough. He never has been, and he never will be. I know people love to say that he keeps play ticking and keeps possession, but that isn't enough, even if you subscribe to that rationalization. I never understood it when we were winning last year and people were praising him, and I don't understand it now. He offers nothing. He isn't a liverpool quality player.

Yet those two seem to be Rodgers' two favorite players. I just don't understand it.

Build up wise we were very solid again, almost fluid. Unfortunately, if you don't have a proper striker who knows where the back of the net is, more often than not you'll see results like today's. So frustrating to see.

PS: Lallana's still taking an extra touch as we speak.

Friend is definitely not our friend. How was that not a penalty. And I loved how the commentators tried to play the whole thing down with the other guy even claiming, that Henderson "ran into" Spearing, when Spearing was actually coming from behind taking Henderson out... Have just seen the second half, but it's evident that we need to improvement upfront. Other than that, I don't think there was much wrong with how we were playing (in the second half).
