Praying Lucas' injury isn't as bad as is rumoured. Stevie will be back by then so thats a huge bonus (touches every piece of wood in the room)

As far as TV is concerned, one leg of each semi-final will be shown live on the BBC, the other on Sky Sports. I believe that Sky have the first-choice, so I would expect them to show the second-leg of our tie.

3rd January - Man City (away) - Premier League
10th/11th January - Man City (away) - League Cup

No Lucas. So we'd have a midfield of Gerrard/Spearing/Adam/Shelvey available for those games if they all go without injury. Think we'll go for three in the middle for them both.

Better chance of beating them over 2 legs in my opinion, they won't be playing their strongest team against us.

to be honest, having them over 2 legs with anfield in the second leg is the best draw imo. much better than playing in a one off game.

In the league they have spurs at home before the 2nd leg, everton away after the second leg. so they have 2 tough games. We have stoke at home , bolton away.

I think its better than playing them in the final.

Feels great to be in toughing distance of a final. We must have lost a bad luck charm in the lst year or so... ;)

On a serious note Dirk Kuyt in particular deserves a winners medal while at Liverpool Football Club.

Yeah. Let's be honest they would of beaten Cardiff or Palace.

So we would of had to play them in the final in a 1 off game and would rather them over 2 legs.

Beat them and we win the cup.
