I'd be happy if they just got rid of the idea of copying the MCU and decided to create each movie as a self contained story. DC and Batman in-particular has enough great comics to adapt into movies

Better yet, sack off the live action thing altogether and just make more Lego movies. Lego Batman looks like the best thing DC have produced since The Dark Knight.

Correct.  Suicide Squad should of just been a live action film of Batman: Assault on Arkham.

Mel Gibson in talks to direct a Suicide Squad sequel, I actually think he'd be a pretty good fit. Gibson seems like the kind of guy who wouldn't let the studio fuck with his film too much, could be a good thing or he could just end up getting pissed off and leaving.

The idea of a studio with a massive reputation of not letting directors have control, being paired up with a director with a ferocious desire to tell a story exactly how he wants, is hilarious.

Hes a big name, and if given the freedom I'd love to see what he could do with the characters, but I'll be amazed if it ever happens.

Speaking of which, talks between WB and Matt Reeves for THE BATMAN have apparently broken down.

A new and IMO awesome Wonder Woman trailer dropped. Looks promising.

Can't embed but it's all over everything.

Thought the early trailers showed promise, the more I see of it the worse it looks. I know trailers are hacked together but some of the acting looked atrocious. Coupled with the laughably ludicrous jaunty sub-porno soundtrack noise they keep forcing in as a theme, its not looking great IMO.

It does look pretty bad, but I guess the more shite DC films that are released increases the chances of them getting rebooted with decent directors.

If Vaughn had actual free reign to stamp his bright, colourful, fun style all over it, and didn't have to worry about the whole DCEU, yeah.

As is, theres no way we would get what he'd want to do and I dont want to waste him on this.

He'd definitely be a step in the right direction, it's insane that Snyder or whoever's exec producing these things thinks greywashing everything is the way to go. It isn't 2005 anymore. One thing you can say about the MCU films is that they feel at least a bit distinctive. That WW trailer looked like someone had envsioned Agent Carter meets GOT meets a Kristen Wiig vehicle, but then someone else layered a load of grey filter and slow motion over everything (and obviously, the acting and script look appalling).

Of course in my ideal world Edgar Wright would be doing the Flash, Neill Blomkamp would be doing Batman, Neil Marshall would be on Wonder Woman, JJ Abrams would take Green Lantern and Duncan Jones would be directing Superman.

The typical teaser trailer for the teaser trailer is out and its really hard to get excited about it even with that money shot at the end

And it'll probably ruin the White Stripes for me

Quips, 100000s of CGI robots/aliens to face, pop music over the top. Looks like they're trying to copy the Marvel formula again.

Let me guess, the robots are protecting a big laser that's shooting into the sky? Or some kind of bomb?

As long as Snyder has his shitty hands on it there's no point in even debating whether it will be any good. It will be an overlong, convoluted bore fest like everything else he's done.

It looks... fine?

I dont know, Snyder's issue has never been creating cool looking moments, so its hard to judge any of his work on them. Man of Steel had an incredible trailer, sucked. BvS had a cool trailer, sucked harder. Even Suicide Squad looked good before you sat down and it had to be a film.

I liked Aquaman riding the Batmobile, that looked enjoyably daft. They actually said "Aquaman" which I guess is a plus. To be honest he looks about the best thing in it.

Cyborg looks like a decepticon fucked one of the Iron Man suits, horrendously bad.

Flash and Wonder Woman look ok, Batman is there. I just have very little confidence that it can deliver on an actual story, so its hard to be excited or hateful of it yet. Still very dark and grey though, but its Snyder so I cant exactly be shocked by that.

I'm wondering how much time they'll devote to Aquaman, Flash and Cyborg's origins in this, since a basic overview would free up their first stand-alone movies to be far more interesting.

I will always be a DC fan due to the comics and animated stuff but I can't read anything into these trailers. As a poster says above MoS looked Oscar worthy with its trailer, I did actually like BvS Ultimate Edition (not the abomination of the Theatrical version) and Suicide Squad looked great but was utter shite

Wonder Woman and this look ok but that could mean anything

Erm, you were not the first to give your blunt disdain to this crap, I was.

Tetchy!

It won't be the film I want but it could be okay if the action is decent enough and the story makes some sort of sense. It's definitely going to be another long, long movie though, they'll need to get through so much just to set the characters and story up.

I am one of the few who thought BvS was decent enough though so my opinion may be considered worthless.
