I woud like to echo the comments by the others and say that it was brilliant work by The Guardian - it was great to have some sane commentators throughout this messy saga...

Indeed.  While Dan napped Steve tweeted.  Excellent coverage.

I also thought VdM coverage of the proceedings was excellent too.

Completely agree, they've been great through all of this, keeping us up to date as much as poss, much better than other media avenues!!! Top notch!!! ;D
On awaiting Everton's arrival for a derby game at Anfield, Shankly gave a box of toilet rolls to the doorman and said: 'Give them these when they arrive – they'll need them!'

Well done to The Guardian. Their coverage has been excellent.

One of the few traditional newspapers that gets the internet, good web site, podcasts, live game reports and no paywall. Becoming the place to go to follow football. Can't praise them high enough.

The Guardian updates really were superb. However, I've got until 5pm to either get a shed load of work done or to think of an inventive excuse as to why I'm way behind!!

They have been brilliant. Full comprehensive and up to date coverage of the crazy events when its otherwise been difficult to undertstand what has been going on. Next to RAWK the only reliable and real time site worth going to.

Well done and thanks. Keep it up.

Great coverage. Work has Twitter censored and tricky to follow RAWK if you step away for more than 5 minutes, so the Guardian blog was excellent to follow for up-to-date news. Thanks!

Wonderful coverage by Guardian. Kudos to them.

Credit where it's due, we would all have been left relying on SSN and their second hand news if it weren't for them this week.

Thanks!
I trust the King, but if we lose a few more on the trot now - he may have to step aside, and we have to purchase another manager in the middle of the season. If we are relegated, this could be the end of our ambitions to win any title the next 100 years.

The Guardian have been excellent in their coverage given us fans not only minute by minute updates keeping us fully informed of latest developments but also some excellent postings explaining what the events meant.  Great coverage - Thank you Guardian much credibility gained.
