Milner back in midfield - just putting it out there.

I still believe though Moreno with his pace can do a job on the wing. It's not an outlandish thought as Lallana in the midfield at the start of the season. He's our only player with raw pace.

We've watched the squad get fatigued over a fixture congested period, performance levels drop, points are lost and the answer to 3 games in less than a week isn't to play the same players 3 times

Not the same intensity as the Xmas/ New Year period though is it? Surely they can cope

a classic "must-win" game. Setting up an opportunity to beat, in a cup final, a side we struggle to beat. The historical rivals.

The players must realise this and up their game.

Cant wait for this. They wont let us down. Knowing us it'll be something stupid like going 2-0 down after 5 mins and winning 4-2 but confident we'll get it done whatever! We gave them their big chance and they fucked it. Now it's Anfield under the lights, good luck!

Are you happy for Moreno to go upfront or on the right?

Any three of Coutinho, Lallana , Origi,Mane, Firmino, Sturridge find themselves in all three front positions during a game.

First team looks absolutely shattered so I would rest as many of them as possible.

I've got a feeling that Origi is the real deal, from a couple of games I watched but mainly his interviews there seems to be something about him.

Can't see him resting players when we have a chance of getting to Wembley. I think they're more likely to be rested on Saturday.

Clyne is injured. Had pain killing injection.

Maybe Coutinho is getting an extra rest. Klopp was asked about injuries and said there were no new injury concerns.

Doesn't Klopp want them involved in 'x' amount of training sessions before a match?

Possibly getting extra treatment or rest with 48 hours still to go, particularly  as Klopp said no new injury concerns?

Yes. But Coutinho is back from injury and he is obviously being careful with him. He mentioned no injuries in the press conference at all.

We're at home to a Championship side at the weekend, they'll get a rest then. Would much rather lose that one than this with Wembley on the horizon.

Feel your pain, I had to get into my car and drive for an hour after the Sunderland result just to get out of the house, Saturday's loss while extremely painful was more of a relief as now the hope is gone if you get me! Have a read of Phillipa Smallwood's piece from The Anfield Wrap today it'll make you feel better.

The result is obviously the most important thing in this game but we really need a good performance too. We haven't played good football for weeks and a comprehensive win would give a much needed boost for next week's game.

Having another home game - and such an important one at that - following the weekend's disappointment is the best thing possible as we've got almost an instant chance to make amends and shake ourselves off.

We need this on Wednesday as a club - the team needs the result and so do we fans. Having booked a Wembley final will be the perfect tonic and hopefully kickstart things properly. Get up, dust ourselves down and get on with it.

So Van Djik is having a scan and may or may not play. If he doesn't, with Fonte now gone, it would likely be Jack Stephens partnering Yoshida in defence for them. Don't recall ever seeing him play but he only has 2 PL appearances to his name so far. Bit mental of them not signing another CB before allowing Fonte to leave considering they don't have many numbers there.

Swansea was the game where we should have turned in a good performance - with this one the result is the only thing that matters. Couldn't give a toss how we play if we're in the final come Thursday morning.

I did say the result is obviously the most important thing  ;) If we just scrape through with an ordinary performance so be it, I'd take it in a heartbeat, ideally I'd like to see a good performance from us though. We could do with a confidence boost before the Chelsea game.

I'm expecting Lallana back in midfied, Matip at the back and the fluidity to return, It would be helpful if the crowd is up for it as well
