Is it just me or if we upped the tempo and intensity by even just 5% we'd be comfortably winning this?

All a bit too slow at the moment and they're comfortable. Pick it up a little and drag them out of position and we'll walk this.
Has Steven Gerrard scored a goal even more important than the one he got against Olympiakos - Is this the start of something BIG?

With hindsight we are definitely an attacker light. Cannot get through to their box.

That said, they will tire eventually and lose some concentration.

Take Can off, drop Lallana into midfield. Bring on a striker.

Absolutely at sea for the last couple of weeks since Mane left. Zero pace in the side.

Not sure what Hendo's done wrong but we do need more creativity in the middle. Can and especially Wijnaldum need to take more responsibility.

You haven't been watching the game if you don't see what he's done wrong. There's been 7 or 8 times he's gave the ball away very cheaply

Savage is the worst commentator in football. Dont understand how hes not a builder or something these days.

BT summing it up there with 'swans on song' caption after the break. These sort of anti-football performances are common place now and it makes it difficult for any team. Thankfully there is still another half.

Totally disagree we're playing against a parked bus. They're playing possession football and then dropping off when we get the ball. They're doing it well so far, but they'll tire. Regardless of tiring, it's giving us plenty of opportunities and we play much better against these teams than we do against those that sit deep with no ambition.

Couple of small tweaks, and we'll be laughing. Can has to come off and Lallana move to midfield to. At half time. Waiting would help Swansea.

They've had 33% ball possession.

ffs stop whining about parked busses, it's the most overused term. It's a low defense, which 80% of all teams use at anfield. They use it cause it works.

Very negative starting lineup. We're playing a team in a relegation battle at home with no centre forward on the pitch FFS. Take of one of the Centre Mids and bring on Sturidge or Origi.

No Lallana in midfield no party.

Don't understand why he has been shifted back into the front 3 after he and the team looked so much better with him in the midfield. I could understand when we were in the middle of an injury crisis but not when we have Sturridge and Origi fit and sitting on their arses.

In general, Can needs to do more in a Liverpool shirt. He hasn't been particularly bad today but I don't remember the last time he put in a performance that you could call "very good". I would say he is pretty consistently below par for the rest of the team.

Would prefer to see Woodburn over Sturridge for Can. Firmino makes the players around him better. Sturridge needs through balls and space. Don't see that happening today.

Yes but why?
I posted this already but they're forming a bank of 5 in front of him and too often Gini and Can don't offer options.
Our build up play through midfield has been non existent.

Problem is we've no pace in our play --- i dont just mean players running in behind i mean everything is side to side, back to holding player etc

We may just need to take some more risks and get a few more in the box. Everyone is dropping back to pick up the ball then just shifting it on. When the final ball is finally players its either from a poor position or theres only ever one in the box.

The mid field is letting us down.  Can is just a passenger and doesn't seem to know what his role is.  ove lallana back to midfield and put on another attacker.  It has been poor so far but we can do this.

They're away at Anfield, as long as they get a point playing like this do you really think they will care?

Maybe not, but for a club that's built a reputation around attractive attacking football for the last 4/5 years or so to be reduced to Tony Pulis tactics is quite a stark transformation.

We're doing okay against that kind of game plan from Swansea. The midfield three, particularly Can and Wijnaldum, need to be doing more in the final third. Obvious sub would be to take one of them off for Sturridge but maybe don't need to rush it. Just ask more from them at half time and see how things go in the opening 15 minutes.

It's imperative not to get rattled/panic and give something away stupidly. If we keep our cool and naturally look to score more aggressively then it should happen 9 times out of 10.

It makes sense away at United (not that he was totally in the front 3 there) ... it makes no sense home against Swansea

I said that in his thread earlier in the season when we were winning and got slaughtered for it. His performances in the smaller games are always like this
