Ferrero has fucked it without ever being in the match. I expected at least a better run for my money than that.

He can still peg it back in this second set ;)

I doubt it mate. He's played utter shite both on his own serve and on Serra's. Is it too asking much for him to at least have 1 break point in the match?

Ferrero breaks back as I say that. Maybe now he'll actually start to play some fucking tennis instead of fannying about and being a twat.

Game over. Ferrero is pathetic.

Not quite sure how you can be outplayed so easily by someone as shit as Serra.

Baffling scoreline. Not much you can say about it really other than these sort of freak results can happen. Hope Melzer is that price to beat Serra in the next round although sadly I doubt he will be.
So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

what a joke, Djokovic lost the first set 6-4. Not knowing his opponent i wiki'd him, ironically:

Ernests Gulbis (pronounced [ˈærnəsts ˈgulbis], born August 30, 1988) is a Latvian professional tennis player. As of December 22, 2008, he is ranked 53rd in the world in men's singles. In 2008, Gulbis won his first ATP Tour doubles title in Houston, teaming with Rainer Schuettler. His career highlights also include a quarterfinal appearance at the 2008 French Open, where he lost a tight match to Novak Djokovic, and a 4th round appearance at the 2007 US Open, upsetting two seeds along the way.

ohshi.

If he scores more goals than Torres this season ill change me name to Carol.

You can back Gulbis at 11/10 on Paddypower inplay to cover yourself if you have an account. They have a tendancy to pay out on big mistakes aswell. Won't be there for long I'd say.

Far more surprised at Ferrero's result than Djokovic's.

Surprised to see people backing Djokovic so heavily against someone of Gulbis' talent. Big year for the Latvian this year and I'd expect him to win a couple of events and he should be something of a money maker, as should Cilic.

If it's any consolation Gianni, I agreed with your reasoning for the Ferrero bet and someone of his level should be beating Serra with relative ease.
If you're reading this signature as a result of reading a post of mine in 'The Bets Thread', then please ignore the aforementioned post as I'm likely to be spouting bollocks and if you follow me, you'll lose money. Thank You.

If it's any consolation Gianni, I agreed with your reasoning for the Ferrero bet and someone of his level should be beating Serra with relative ease.

I remember watching Ferrero get hammered a few years ago at the start of the year by Massu, thought he was past those days! I can see Melzer battering Serra though which will make it stranger.

Really fancy Devvarman today to beat Kim. Home crowd, rare wildcard for him which he knows he must take advantage of since the Americans didn't give him anything last year despite being the reigning 2 time NCAA champion. Had some promising challenger results last year and has been training for 3 weeks with Roddick in the off season. Feel the bookies have got it wrong and I've backed accordingly at 10/11.
So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." Bet 2: £126 on Azarenka to beat Safarova @ 4/11 = Pending.

Not got past Bet 2 so far this year, but hopefully it will be 3rd time lucky.
