should have been 2 or 3 up if the forward players time their runs better.

I feel that they were a bit too eager.

And Gini what a player we have. Didn't know he had that header in him

Should be 2-0 up though

Totally different tactical set-up from Klopp. Hitting balls in behind, allowing possession. Its worked very well so far.
I expect he will be very pissed off though at three players who have given up easy possession repeatedly. Can, of course, Firmino and Clyne.
Very nearly hurt badly by that Firmino giveaway.

Great header by Wijnaldum and wonderful cross from Lallana. If only he had held his run a fraction we could easily be two up, after that mugging of Toure.

Good half - we're controlling it so far. Should have put it to bed, but who knows what's up with Firmino today, some bad passes from him and he messes up 2 gilt edged chances. Hope he gets in the game 2nd half, and scores a couple - we've got more goals in us today.

Excellent half for us.

Great header by Wijnaldum.  Firmino has been sloppy but Klavan has been brilliant.

We haven't allowed them to cause us much trouble, but keep letting them boss the ball and pick up spaces between the lines and eventually they will.

Decent first half, lets hope we're better second.

We've got another level to go up here, seems really easy for us at the minute.

The freedom Wijnaldum has been given really helps show what he brings to the team, his pressing from midfield has been excellent.

Firmino seems to be having a quiet game, he seems a bit down on confidence lately, he hasn't been a problem at all though apart from the pass off to De Bruyne around the 40th minute.

Klavan has been a rock, as has the entire defence really.

If City up the tempo, we're definately capable of upping it even more in this.

Great first half.

Been really sloppy in possession but defended well and took the chance really well.  Need to keep the ball better and spring the attacks because are here for the taking unless they improve dramatically.

Klavan's been great. Stoked for Gini. Overall we've been solid in defence but a little careless in possession.  We might need another to be sure and we should be stronger in the second half.

City haven't been up to much so I'd expect them to improve during the second half. We haven't been up to much offensively either so hopefully we can get another and improve.

Gini header was excellent. Come on lads

Get that second and things will really play into our hands. Tweak of tactics by Klopp, killing off the space in the middle of the park is working great for us but we need to get that second goal.

I've got a better sound on a fucking stream ... and I'm a BT subscriber  :P

Has anyone made the Firmino hangover joke yet? He's been shocking.

Good defending, but one mistake and we could be done here. Need to score again.

Great goal by Gini.

Really professional so far but I'm tense as fuck. I think you can see what Karius could offer in this half - we've had to use Mignolet as an outlet quite often and, whenever we do, that's the end of the move - he's done nothing wrong, he's come out aggressively, claimed the ball very well from crosses and corners, but he's just not able to act as an extra outfield player in the way that Karius can.

Firmino's been frustrating - incredible workrate, as ever, but a few really brain numbing moments with that failure to control (very minor), the inability to lay off to Lallana (a little less minor but still minor) and the give away straight to De Bruyne (definitely not minor).

Tactically we've been brilliant but my bum will be squeaky if we don't get another. City have enough quality that, no matter how well we shout them out, they only need half a sniff to score, which is why I found that Firmino give away frustrating. Feels like perhaps we could sometimes keep possession a bit better too, slow the game down a bit.

Very minor quibbles though. It's been impressive, no doubt.

Lallana and Wijnaldum been great. First game we've struggled to get a foothold in midfield. Hopefully Klopp can see something that we can fix to rectify that.

We're the better team. As predicted they can't cope with our energy in midfield.
The danger is their attackers getting isolated on one of our slower defenders

Containing them really well & controlling the game.

I'd be more than happy if that was the final score, but it's hard to believe they won't score.

Lallana can't hold his run in that situation, he'd lose momentum and the chance would be gone, the pass needed to be earlier.

I'd blame both to be honest. Firmino should have released it earlier but Lallana went sprinting past him full pelt right away. He could have jogged a little and Firmino would have had that split second extra to play it then move in to the sprint. That way Bobby gets extra time to play the pass and Lallana would not have lost any momentum.
