That bosnian source stated yesterday Klopp was gonna be announced today ( their source is Klopp`s right hand man who is bosnian). They are right so far.

The guy online, Graeme Kelly I think said Rodgers would be gone next week(said this Saturday) and also mention Ian Ayre was in New York talking to Ancelotti.

Let the mayhem commence.

@MattCritchley1: My understanding is that decision on Rodgers made 2 weeks ago. Ancelotti approached and is number one choice of FSG to replace him.

I can't recall who, maybe Killer_Heelz said a while back that Klopp plays boring football. Don't watch much football outside of us. Is this true. I know a bit about Ancelotti, and do yearn for an Italian defence and tactical shrewdness.

Klopp followed by Ancelotti. Mazzarri ,De Boer and Koeman can fuck right off. Simone no chance at getting.

You have mapped out quite a few years forward there. ;)

I'd eat my hat if it isn't Klopp. He's been practically begging to come here since he left Dortmund, has expressed his immense respect for the club time and time again, and has consistently been dropping hints in the media that this is a job and project he would be willing to take on.

In fact, I'm sure some sort of arrangement with him has already been reached.

Yeah, I'd be surprised if this hasn't been sorted weeks ago. The timing just before an international break and the result wasn't bad, not like a 3 nil drubbing.

Which player's is Ancelotti bringing with him?
Real Madrid has a manager who worked at Liverpool, a bunch of great players getting no game time, and Ancelotti knows that squad. If we were going to poach 1 player in January to win a trophy or get 4th it'd be coming from Real before Dortmund.

The big question for me is the structure.

Klopp would be an excellent choice, but he's never had responsibility for the one aspect that requires the most work in order to fix the mess we're in - recruitment.  Are we going to appoint a DOF at the same time?  If so, who is it going to be?  What changes are to be made to the transfer committee/scouting setup?

It could all go pear-shaped very easily, this, even with the right managerial appointment if we don't appoint at the same time a recruitment team that can get the right players (and get the right money for the players the new manager wants to let go).

I believe Klopp worked with a DOF in Germany. It was FSG's original plan to have a DOF. Do it then.

They're actually the type of players you'd think Klopp would prefer. High energy, pressing, work your arse off for 90 minutes type of players.

Now rumours are that Ancelotti is first choice... let the mayhem ensue until our new manager is announced I suppose.

Heads says Anchelotti but heart says Klopp. Wallet says Anchelotti too as I got 8/1 on him a few weeks ago.
He wasn't perfect, he made mistakes. But he was genuine. He had the best interests of the club at heart, and gave us a plethora of successful teams that we should have been thankful for.

When do people think the announcement will happen ? Surely with timing, it should be in a couple of days...

New manager's first 5 league matches:

Spurs (A), Southampton (H), Chelsea (A), Palace (H), City (A)

If we get that new manager bounce and come out of that run still standing, then this season can get real juicy !
