A JURY was discharged yesterday after it failed to reach a verdict in the case of a man accused of feeling a teenage boy’s leg muscles.

The six men and six women had been deliberating for five hours over two days in the case of Akinwale Arobieke at Mold Crown Court.

The 48-year-old, of Hornby Road, Walton, Liverpool, was accused of two breaches of a sexual offences prevention order (Sopo) banning him from feeling muscles in public places.The Sopo also prevents him associating with under 18s.

He was accused of approaching a 16-year-old boy and squeezing his calf and thigh muscles in Llandudno in November last year.

At one point the judge instructed the 12 jurors he would accept a majority with at least 10 of them agreeing. But after further deliberations they were unable to do so.

Arobieke was remanded in custody until May 6 when a new trial date will be fixed.
