Is he still playing?

Yep, he's still not banging them in for MK Dons I think.

Apparently the mancs want to put all of us on a bonfire and set fire to us. :(
I thought the line went "A Scouser". If that`s the case they already have Rooney, so everyone else should be safe.
There really isn't.  I think a lot of us, even our own have started doubting it. It's time to rise up. And take what is rightfully ours. It's a big mountain, but what is the point in achieving something, which everyone can?

Fate has given us a mountain too big. We have to rise. We have to believe.

May seem irrelevant now, but they were still churning up this shite on the radio phone-ins as recently as a couple of weeks ago.

This is all I could find mate:

A spokesman for the Merseyside ambulance trust confirmed the attack: "It did not result in any delay in transferring the player to hospital but the trust cannot condone this type of behaviour while administering emergency treatment."

Not sure if that helps. A Manc in work and myself were arguing about this. He sent this to me: The BBC also reported that Smith: was given a general anaesthetic before he left the stadium so was not aware of the attack on the ambulance.

I don't even think it was the Mirror. But thanks. It just goes to show how much that myth spread.

It's not true. They made it up. Honestly surprises me that people believe anything the papers say nowdays.

Some 'facts' from that article;

- It claims it was attacked 'Outside Anfield'
- It then claims that the ambulance was stuck in 'Heavy Traffic' (Outside Anfield in the car park?)
- It then claims Liverpool fans rocked it and shouted stuff. The game was still well underway.

Pure fiction.

The Truth about Alan Smith Ambo Ride.

It wasnt the fans it was Walton Breck Road

Haha.

Re Smith, maybe he just wasn't that arsed about it and now that the topic was brought, he answered it? Some footballers don't check papers / media etc. Anyway, good that he cleared it up, he didn't have to.

just noticed this too

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2006/oct/20/newsstory.sport10?INTCMP=ILCNETTXT3487

Again total and utter fiction. The ambulance stood outside the ground for about ten minutes, several stewards were dispatched to 'look after it' and stood outside until the occupant was put in it. Then it quietly headed off and turned left onto Anfield Road away from the ground. Nothing happened. No fans outside. Just a few stewards and a couple of police. Afterwards we headed back into the ground and I went off back to the away end (Lower Anny road).

It was only later that I heard the lies from the Guardian and other sources that it was supposedly attacked outside the ground.
