Interesting thing for me is that despite our tired legs, missing senior players, poor solidity in the middle of the park, etc etc. It was two glaringly stupid mistakes from experienced players that cost us the three points. We basically gifted it to them.

If we don't win the title today it will be due to the injuries that we have had this season. It is a joke how few Chelsea have had, and how many we have had.

That was a tired performance today, but plenty of chances to get points back.

Some shitty decision making by both players, manager and officials today. For some obscure reason, the commentator on the stream I watched it on said Can had a great game today? About sums it up.

Frustrating, but it's not a defeat and way too many games to go before the champions are crowned or the CL places are decided, but two cup comps to get into where we want to see the progression of the squad that we've seen so far.

Terrible refereeing all game today but if you give two penalties away in a game you're asking for trouble. Missed Henderson massively, Can was awful and there were some tired legs on show.

Annoying as hell and, unfortunately, evidence of why we won't win the league this year. Still, on we go!

Anyone that thinks it was a free-kick at the end is blind, it wasn't a foul. How some on here are blaming Lucas is beyond me.

On a side note, what does Moreno offer? He can't defend very well, he's absolutely useless going forward and he can't deliver a corner or free kick to save his life. Yeah, we scored from one but only because we had a player there to flick it onto the path of Mane. Not questioning the sub, Milner was perhaps shattered and on a yellow but Moreno is just not very good is he.

Some absolutely brainless decisions today. Both penalties were absolutely ridiculous. Then to sum it up we let Moreno take the free kicks in dangerous positions in stoppage time.  ???

Both penalties were clear penalties and they should have had a third.

Disappointing result but 7 points in 6 days is alright.

To be fair to Mane, the ball was moving at pace perfectly through the gap in the wall. Very good chance that was heading into the back of the net. Never should have given away the free kick, or the first pen either. Two games two days rest, tells the whole story.

Well its painful when the bubble bursts but the reality is we're not good enough to win this league yet. Take a player or two away (Coutinho and Henderson) from our first 11 and the backups just arent as good in the system.

Bollocks. Its too early. there will be more twists and turns.

It will be easy to criticise the team now but you could see the team was tired.

That's not really an excuse, we could have freshened things up. We also lead twice in the game and didn't have the composure to hold on.

Our biggest problem is ourselves. How many tiimes in the last two years have we dropped points from a winning position [not once in a math but seveeral times]?

Absolutely frustrating to no end, two brainless decisions, Mane's in particular. If they were better, if they created more, then no problem you can't win them all, but you go up twice against one of the worst sides in the league and you beat yourselves ala Bournametouh ala West Ham

There is no easy game in ths league so when you go up twice in one match, if you want to win anything you got to improve on past mistakes. Granted we were knackered, but so where they.

Fuck.

Stupid penalties we gave away but our attacking play was horrible today. We didn't create much at all against a shit side like them. The sooner Coutinho comes back the better.

Liverpool Football Club. Making statements before swiftly unmaking them since 1990.

Awful defending, took the foot off the gas immediately after scoring twice, champions don't do that. Tired or not there's no excuses for that.

Oh and I've said it before but I'm a massive fan of Moreno taking set pieces, more of that in future please!

Giving this place a swerve for a few days. Can do without all the wankers who said nothing for the last two weeks suddenly lording it up because we've dropped points.  They're even more annoying that that twat Stelling who was grinning and nodding like a c*nt as the news of the second equaliser came in.

If Sunderland put in the effort against others that they seemingly always do against us they'd never be in any trouble. That probably makes me sound bitter, but fuck it. I'm back to work tomorrow and I feel ill, so I'm allowed to be a bit ranty.

I knew we will drop points when i saw overconfidence here.

Burnley, west ham and now Sunderland. By now i hope fans and players realise teams and fans raise their game against us ..

Title is gone , This team lacks dirtiness to win title. It will a good experience for the young lads. We have to lose before winning it . Consolidate Top4 now. Game against manc is might important now. We cant lose there

Lots of bad decision making all over the field which should have resulted in 3 pens against us. Can only put it down to players being mentally fooked after the City game. Should have freshened the team up IMO.

7 points out of 9 over the crazy Xmas period is not awful. I'd have taken it back when the fixtures were changed for TV.

They looked tired. I think it's a bit too much to expect an unchanged team to put in a shift against a spirited Sunderland team, crap or not.

I think they did ok for what it was worth. We didn't give them too many chances, except for those two penalties, which could have been avoided.

Unfortunate, but it isn't the end of the world, not even close.

Sorry but that performance is on the manager.  No reason not to rotate a few more players.  No sharpness, no movement, no pressing.  The only player who looked sharp was the one who didn't play 2 days ago.

So disappointing and frustrating watching that.

I don't think the points difference to chelsea is unassailable but these kind of performances away from home against the likes of sunderland, bournemouth and burnley....well come the end of the season we'll see how costly they might of been.

Fucking typical. Shite team finds a few extra gears against us. The FA and Sky got what they wanted: to fuck us over with 2 games in 3 days. If Klopp really doesn't trust the squad enough to rotate, why did we not buy more in the summer?

Wijnaldum - one of the worst performances I've ever seen from an LFC player. That Manc c*nt Taylor shocking too - never a free kick for their 2nd and where was the added time for Djibodji's injury? He couldn't wait to blow up.
