The 24: Live Another Day box set has a 7-minute 'story extension' called 24: Solitary and is focused on this guy:

Doesn't seem to be on sky demand.

Any links to where I watch the finale?

Anyone?

Tony was one of my favourite characters but really think they ruined him in Season 7. Way too many good guy, bad guy twists.

I'd normally be wary of such a move, but with how LAD ended and the bonus scenes on the DVD, I could get behind this. Supporting cast (Tony included) in Russia (or wherever Jack is being held prisoner), looking to get Jack out of there. Bring him back into the last couple of episodes.

Kiefer can be involved for minimal episodes, if that's his issue. Done right, it could work, done wrong though and it finishes the show off.

Thinking back and I was just watching them towards the end because I felt I had to. Leave it well alone now please 24 don't put me through it again.

Unless it was 24: Aaron Pierce. I would watch the shit out of that. If he had died during any 24 I'd have stopped watching there and then.

Had the last series (is it the last series? The one set in London?) recorded for ages and we finally got round to starting it the other night. Seems alright so far, a bit weird hearing West Ealing mentioned by Jack Bauer!

Think that could be a nice way to freshen up the show. Instead of being beholden to one character, they could explore a more intricate, layered plot with something resembling an ensemble. I'd definitely watch that.

New series, without Jack as the main character, all but confirmed. Kiefer's scheduled for guest appearances though.

Can guarantee it will end with the last 4/5 episodes being the new central character (and previous characters from the series *Tony*) breaking Jack out of a Gulag.

Harry Pearce to mastermind it all :)

Well looks like I could be onto something...

Spoiler
Carlos Bernard has signed up for 24:Legacy. YAY! Tony!

Although Kiefer continues to play down doing anymore 24 on the small screen. Still calling a Jack breakout, leading to a film. No way he could do more TV, with Designated Survivor seemingly doing well.
[close]

Actually got around to seeing the trailer for the new series a few weeks back, I mean...there's no Jack...but it looks back to being an actual story, rather than the Jack Bauer saves the day show it turned into the majority of the seasons, post the first.

First episode was fine, 2 was ok, 3 was terrible. Already been a few mistakes in regard to the real time aspect. Needs to improve, hopefully Tony's arrival will do that.

It's pretty bad, the storyline looks reasonable but I can't warm to the characters. Carter (Corey Hawkins) is just trying too hard. Hopefully it picks up a bit.

I think part of the problem is that it's a 12 episode season and they're sacrificing character development to jump straight in with the action. They could afford to do that with Live Another Day because we already knew all of the main characters (Jack/Chloe/Heller/Audrey), and they could then drop information in about the new guys as it went along. This season feels more similar to that, rather than of Day 1 when they used the first episode or two building Jack, David Palmer, Nina, Tony, etc up as characters to care about. So far we have 0 reason to care about any of these new characters on a personal level, except for them fighting terrorists. Obviously there are plenty of amazing shows out there that have short seasons, but they aren't rebuiling a 9 season show with an entirely new cast.

It does have potential, but if it continues the way it is I don't see it fulfilling it.

WHAT 12 episode season? Why the hell call it 24? Call it twelve, call it half done, call it dirty dozen.
(Yeah I know they did it before but I was peeved about that too. Don't think I found out then till ep nine)

I've watched a couple (think there's only been two episodes on Fox?) and it's definitely watchable, entertaining TV.

It kinda feels like a cheap ripoff version of 24. There's no real air of it being the same programme for me.

I'm pretty ambivalent to all the characters. And actually dont like most of them.

This last episode (5) was just stupid.

I'll still watch it though, but its the first 24 that I've not really cared about anyone. There's no sense of rooting for any of the new crew like there was for Jack or Chloe or Palmer. And I'm not arsed about who turns out to be a duplicitous bastard either.

Its a "24 from the Barras"
All the badge kissing in the world don't make up for the fact that they are, frankly, not Liverpool Football Club. It's not their fault. Its just how it is.

It used to be the one show I'd watch as soon as a decent link was available (with Jack), not watched an episode (without Jack). The show pretty much was all about Bauer by the end (well, even at the start really) so unless there's a massive twist involving a returning Jack...meh. And I was actually looking forward to this after the trailer.

Got to be biggest show so reliant on one character.

The lack of posts says it all. Im probably the easiest viewer on the planet to please and I think it was gash.
Hope they dont make a new series as I will be duty bound to watch it.
It was on a par with spooks the movie.
