Hoping to get two spares for this seeing as it's a Monday night. Shocking timetabling though, feel bad for some of you having to take time off from work to travel.

Me too.

And yeah it's a joke to be honest. It's already £54 before you start thinking about return trips from Liverpool and the loss of holiday time for the year.

Even living in London I'm not paying it. Not when other teams pay £40 less for the same seat. Won't be going to West Ham either. While Spurs and Chelsea are also overpriced at least they don't have such an obscene disparity between category A and C, and we charge them pretty much the same at Anfield.

It's great to have principals mate and I fully agree with you that it is a disgrace, but someone else will go if you don't. That's just the way it is. Too many people love our club. A boycott of high prices is very unlikely in such a big game, so early in the season.
I always said we had the best two teams on Merseyside… Liverpool and Liverpool Reserves.

If someone else wants to pay it fine. If they charged everyone £40 and upwards I would probably pay the £64 (£54). But the fact that supporters of other teams can visit there twice for less than the cost of one visit for us isn't on. Other people are free to make their own choice, personally I'm not having it.

I generally get my away tickets through work, so yes, someone else will have it. But no, I won't get the credit on my card. I'm sure plenty will do that though 😀

I'd imagine they are all automated scanners. Although I have heard some grounds scanners make a different noise and shine a different light when kids tickets are scanned as opposed to adults ones.

Now you're ticket could be checked by stewards before you reach the turnstile of course (I don't know for sure) but you could probably just cover the age category with your thumb when showing it to them? Worth a try I suppose, although if you missed the match because of it?? :'(

Arsenal's tickets are one of the hardest to do it with. It's like a credit card size if its an OAP or Junior and like double the size if its an Adult with a big clear ADULT labelled on it.

I was sound on a kids at Arsenal last year, my ticket didn't even work in the turnstile so a steward had to take me in at another gate, none of them said anything. but I have a babyface too...

Don't know mate.  Thought I had a good chance with 10 on my card but doubtful now.  Trying to budget myself to one away league a month anyway so if I do get a ticket I'd probably have to swerve Arsenal.

Just had a look though and last season it looks like it sold out on 14 then went on sale on 9 after returns, so might do.  I had a mix up that weekend whether I was gona be in London or Liverpool and still not sure.  Are you getting a train?

Yes mate, booked my trains as soon as they announced the TV fixtures.

Let me know if you do end up with a ticket, if not, I'll see you at Arsenal.
