True, same old same old. I thought the £28m man and Gar Bar were going to sort the Arse? If Lukaku gets injured they are truly fucked, their back up is the injured Kone (and what`s the point when he isn`t injured because he`s shite) and Naismith who is just, well, not that good really. Decent hard working player player but never going to be a player they could rely on week in week out to the score the goals to push them into the top four. The need to keep Lukaku fit, in form and free from suspension for most of the season to have a shout at the top four. That's a big ask.

Considering their small squad, that £28m they spent could surely have been spread better across their squad. If they lose a centre back or two, they are left with the young Stones and who? Distin is on his last legs and Jagielka is getting on. If they lose a midfielder or two then what`s next? Same with Lukaku.

Looks like they need to keep on shopping in the loan market after Martinez blew his load on one player and that`s not a good way to build a squad for the long term. Taking other teams players, let them play a bit then pass them back. "Here ya go mate, you can take him back  a better player now and we hope we can help another team next season"  ;)

I can see big problems for them at some point in the season when injuries and suspensions kick in. As long as they throw in a plucky little effort now and again against our rivals then happy days.

The funniest part about the result was that up until the 80th minute mark Arsenal deserved absolutely nothing from the match and were utterly useless as well. Even after they got it to 2-1, it's not as if they were peppering Howard's goal either. Epic bottling from Everton.

The two goals they conceded were poor. 1st goal there was only one player making a late run in the box against 5 Everton players. No one could track him or stop the ball. Second goal, what did Distin do just looking at Giroud getting the header? He never attacked the ball.

Other than that they were the better side for most of the game but means fuck all when you go on and drop points like that.
Messi in fact doesn't have a recognizable trait.

Not to mention Coleman for the first goal was just pointing at the other player for someone to mark and not closing down the fella who crossed the ball in.

I can only assume that their ambitious aspirations this season were top four but they're already close to blowing it. 1-0 and 2-1 v Leicester, 2-0 v Arsenal, four points dropped. Martinez said they'd sort out their slow starts this season... oh dear.

They also looked dreadful at the back which is not unusual for a Martinez team. So many silly errors under little pressure and then the goals they conceded were woeful. Hope we attack them like fuck when we play them because we'll have chances galore, especially if Distin plays.

I said before the season started that they would suffer from not scoring as many late winners as they did last season (no team scored more goals after the 75th minute than them), mainly due to less rest from EL and still having a small squad. I just didn't expect that to happen so incredibly soon and so emphatically! ;D

Other way round, Wigan used to pull off very good results in the last 1/3 of the season . But he never had to face European football at the time

Sky saying that Everton are in talks with United over buying or more likely loaning Welbeck. Would be a great move for Everton but United would be insane to loan a player to one of their biggest threats for top 4/top 6.

If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Haha, that's what I was implying by including "top 6" there. From their perspective though they're probably thinking about 4th. I honestly can't see them finishing higher than 6th, with 7th or even 8th most likely. They're already 5 points behind Spurs and a point behind Everton.

God, if either of the two deals mentioned above goes through we might as well just pack the league up and give it to the Blues. Eto'o/Welbeck and Lukaku are so superior to Sturridge and Balotelli it's not even close!
