This is rather good
Indeed it is.
I feel like Klopp has this sort of talismanic charisma that takes on another, deeper significance in the fullness of time; a historic, museum-worthy piece of pop-cultural poetry, and that video bring that sense out for me.
If I can describe it better, if you watch clips of Shankly, long before I and many of us here even existed, at the time he said those things they would've been so exciting and inspiring, but watching it now, it has such depth and wisdom that it holds a real cultural significance that goes beyond football (and I mean the times when he was talking about football, nevermind his other pearls of wisdom).
No one can say for certain how Klopp will compare with our best and brightest by the close of his time here, but he is absolutely iconic even right now. The likes of Paisley and Rafa
became iconic through those immense achievements; their quieter, more modest and cerebral personalities took on a grandeur to loving LFC supporters, though Rafa's travails since have arguably took some shine off that 'stardom' (and I deliberately haven't included Dalglish, because he had a somewhat unfair head start at this 'star manager' lark, what with him having already been a genius LFC forward!). Shankly, though, had that theatricality and emotional intensity, and it was as much a part of his management style as his tactical nous and eye for a player - it seems a similar situation with Klopp, it's the whole unique Kloppish outgoing personality package which seems to elevate his sides and attract positive attention.
One thing's for sure, saying this as a heterosexual man (debatably): Klopp is easily the
sexiest manager we've ever had. No one else comes close.
