This is why it was strange to see posters stating that they didn't care if we went out of the FA cup (weirdos but there we go) as we'd have less fixtures to arrange and could concentrate on the league. When in reality having no fixture for two 2 week periods in the run in may have the same impact as having 2/3 games per week, given how it can affect momentum etc.
