He's not good enough to manage Liverpool FC, get him out before he ruins this season too

There.

Today's result is entirely on the players imo. Mignolet for costing us the goal, and the attackers for constantly losing their heads and fucking up the final parts of our attacks.

Blaming Rodgers for those players being in the team and trajectory is fair enough, of course.

Need Milner replaced asap, a good spell in CM 5 years ago does not a CM make.

This game was lost purely by the lack of finishing which was absolute dog shite.

We should have comfortably won this by a wide margin, but too many missed chances and we draw to relegation fodder at home.

BR does need to go though.

Oh Suarez, wherefore art thou.

Seriously though, that was a much better performance. 9 times out of 10 we come out of that with a win. Improve the performance and the results will come. Rodgers deserves at least until Christmas to turn it around. Have some faith people.

I can guarantee you the ones who don't rate Milner are the ones who didn't rate henderson either.

Some fans think all there is to a football match is creating chances and scoring goals. Simplistic.

He had a poor game today going forward but he's been a very good signing.

I thought he had a good pre season, his aggression was something that we had missed but I think he has been poor since the start of the prem.
His control, passing and forward play of any kind has been well below par.

Really? Gerrard would have made no difference. He played like Milner did today for most of last season.
At least Stevie could spread the play and play cross field passes. Milner is a poor mans Joe Allen passing only sideways and backwards. Joe had tactical discipline something Milner lacks A LOT.

There's no consistency, the formation changes are clearly an attempt at papering over the cracks but even that's not working anymore. We might have played slightly better but we'll have much tougher tests this season so those are games we really should be winning. Top 4 is an absolute pipe dream if this continues. Positives: Sakho and Moreno looked solid, Firmino looks as though he's getting there too.

He got to it but momentum is lost coming through a crowd. The real issue is no one covering the line (or that's easily stopped), or why the player had time to do a keepy up and prod without getting challenged on the second ball.

He also saved us a few minutes later with a good stop from yet more shite panic defending.

BR is safe unless we are in a serious relegation scrap.

The money will keep coming in regardless which is all that matters.
I've heard we're struggling to sell tickets for the cup game? Eventually that will become league games as well, even fair weather fans will stop coming up for the day if they're expecting to see shite.
Then in the midddle out pops a smiling glen johnson pulling up his jersey to reveal a t-shirt of suarez with a text saying. "OUR SUAREZ IS A FRIEND TO ALL COLOURS!"

A mid table team that hasn't really finished mid table, and actually finished second 2 years ago?

Hyperbole like.
7th and 6th is mid table to me ::) That means we are the 7th best team in the country. Not good enough. Not with 400million spent.

Dalglish was sacked for an appalling run of 14 points from 45 in the league, we're on 16 from 45 at the moment (cups not included)
The thing I remember about that run is that we were desperately unlucky in games. I think we hit the woodwork a record number of times, and we were playing some decent attacking football. We just couldn't hit the back of the net often enough. Now we just look shite all over. Doesn't make sense to me, and that's after the amount he's spent. It's fucking crazy.

Can u remember a single chance we created through the middle today ?

How can we spend 300 millions in 3 seasons and can't have a midfield that can even dominate Norwich ? Clearly BR's fault

Almost all our chances were created by Moreno .That's how bad our attacking play was today

Our midfield was shit, yet you highlight Moreno (playing in midfield) was creating chances? And is also a Rodger's signing.

We need to start winning and fucking fast.

Yes, we need to start scoring more than anything. Always look like we can concede a stupid goal so it's essential we take our chances when they come.

Confidence low obviously, but being in this situation mid-September makes it  all a bit depressing...Unfortunately, this is when the likes of Coutinho start thinking to themselves, what the fuck am I doing here?
All those bad shots should tell him something, why oh why did he insist on shooting with his right?????
For his last one, he had time to move it on his left as soon as ~Ruddy committed himself. Have yet to see replays, BTW.

Much better today ,should of won and it's fucking criminal not to. What are you going to do though when your goalie punches the ball straight to their player in front of goal.

I'd love to know the last time we dominated a game from start to finish, seems like a lifetime ago.

It was a bit of a flap from Mignolet, but I thought it was a clever finish. Mignolet's a very average goalkeeper with no confidence. I don't expect him to save anything that's not straightforward and he has no distribution skills whatsoever.

It was better. But this side is devoid of belief, character (the actual thing not Rodgers version of it), leadership and winners.
We can give Rodgers more time to try and build it - without having players like Gerrard, Suarez, Agger or Carragher who were at the club when he arrived - or we can try and bring in a guy who is a winner and can get these players to raise their game, who brings either inherent passion or automatic respect.
We know FSG would prefer the former. I think it is fair to say the majority of fans are now all about the latter.
For me FSG need to be talking to potential replacements tomorrow. If Rodgers can turn this around, and that is debatable, he has shown no signs he could do it quicker than a new guy walking through the doors this week.

Did you watch the match?
Do you fancy being specific about how it was dreadful or how we played like a relegation side?
The form is relegation form.  It's results that matter.  Our wins have came off poor performances but they were still wins, and the overall form is still relegation form.

We didn't play well enough to win though and we needed the win desperately.

At the end of the day; what can a manager do bar set his team up to defend well and not concede chances, while having a system that allows his team to make chances at the other end?

Did we not defend well as a whole? They only had 2 shots on target and only 7 overall.
Did we not make chances and attack well? We had 7 shots on target and 23 overall.

Rodgers can not somehow force Mignolet to stop being a duffer every 3-4 games and he can't make players not miss chances.

This game is down to a failure from a few individual players, not Rodgers. But even those players, if we can replicate this performance, will get the results. We looked so much better with Sturridge fit and Sakho at LCB. Wouldn't be surprised at all if we go on the kind of run we did last season (13 unbeaten?). That run also was started by a really good performance against United, despite losing 3-0. We turned it around immediately and went on a run.

My reaction would be different if I thought this team was going anywhere.

I know what you mean. Under a new reign with say Klopp as manager, this result and performance would give a different outlook.

With Rodgers, the poor results hold more weight. Irrespective of a good performance or even a string of good wins, we all know where we're heading under Rodgers.
