Just don't think I've ever had this much faith in a manager in my life, I love Benitez and Kenny more than it is probably healthy to, but the confidence i have in every footballing decision Brendan makes is second to none and I really believe he's in a class above anyone in knowledge of the game. Quite frankly i wouldn't have any other manager in the world right now
Above all, I would like to be remembered as a man who was selfless,
who strove and worried so that others could share the glory,
and who built up a family of people who could hold their heads up high and say

                                              'We're Liverpool'.

I see this game as a really important message. If there was any doubt before this game, this is a sign that Brendan Rodgers have arrived. At age 41 he got his team to thoroughly outdo Arsenal whose manager is Arsene Wenger, 23 years his senior. We've now destroyed Spurs away, and Everton and Arsenal at home. We gave City the closest match of anyone away from home except Mourinho's Chelsea. This guy can do it in the big games, so he can do it, full stop.

You obviously missed the away game to Arsenal or the home game against Villa! He makes mistakes, he young and hes learning but he tends not to repeat them, the future looks promising and on the up with a young team and manager improving beyond recognition such a short time. His future needs to be secured ASAP

Fully agree, and the scary thing is, this guy is improving as well, not only the players. Compare the big games this season to the big games last season, it's completely different. Give him time, give him money, give him everything he needs because he'll lead us back to glory. I haven't been as convinced by a manager since Benitez, and considering the huge admiration and love I have for Rafa, that's some compliment.

Tactically outshafted Wenger, Villa Boas and Martinez.

And just over a year ago people said he was tactically naive and didn't know how to adapt. He learnt from our performance at the Emirates and Wenger just had no response today, there was nothing he could do.

Need to get him signed up to a nice new contract as if I recall, next season is the final year of his current one. Just imagine what we could be like if he had proper financial backing. Frightning prospect.

Can't believe he still hasn't got a contract extension.

I'm loving some of the changes he's made recently to the system. Some really good adjustments and we're absolutely phenomenal at times going forward. Our press today was very good, we're playing a lot more compact and tactically we completely outshone Arsenal today.

Got to get a 2 year extension.

Agree 100%. Don't think it will happen before the summer though. And the man Rodgers is, he will probably say he doesn't want to focus on anything else but the job at hand right now.

You can't underestimate what he's done, he's taken a club that had just spent £100 million to stabilise itself into 7th to within two wins of the top in February.
Then in the midddle out pops a smiling glen johnson pulling up his jersey to reveal a t-shirt of suarez with a text saying. "OUR SUAREZ IS A FRIEND TO ALL COLOURS!"

I wouldn't say it was a mess, we were ransacked by Hicks and Gilett and the rot had set in so the expenditure was necessary. He was given a good foundation to develop looking back, although at the time it looked like we had just wasted the money.

Aye. If it took those 30 minutes against Villa for Brendan to ditch 424 and reaffirm to him that our best system is 433 then those 2 drops points might be worth it.

Absolute fantastic job he is doing.

Yet another incredible thing he has done is get coutinho to play so well in central midfield.

He keeps getting the best out of the players. He is in the trajectory of Klopp and Simeone. Still has to keep it going but we shall see.

Sorry, did we lose that game? Did we concede 4 or 5 goals in it?

I don't recall that we did either of those things.

Which is probably not the definition of "having your pants pulled down"

He got a tactical element wrong, fixed it, and rescued a point from a losing position. There's more evidence that Lambert had his pants ever so slightly tugged at, than there is for Lambert doing the de-pantsing.

He is doing a great job, we have come on leaps and bounds and as someone above said the fact that players are getting

better is proving he is doing it right on the training pitch, the players want to play for him and up their game for everyone

we play not just the big games. He will be pitting his wits against the best in Europe next year and I for one cant wait.

Keep up the good work.

What he has done for us over the last 2 seasons is nothing short of remarkable. Most entertaining football that I've seen Liverpool play over the last 10 years in my opinion, even more so than the 2008/09 Rafa team.  Our attacking play is so unpredictable and quick ; some of the counter attacks reminded me so much of Dortmund in last year's UCL
