Fabio Borini is set to step his rehabilitation from a shoulder injury on Tuesday after confirming he will return to full training at Melwood.

The Italy forward has been out of action since dislocating his shoulder against Swansea City on February 17 and undergoing surgery.

However, Borini will take another step towards full fitness when he resumes training with his teammates today.

If he gets himself fit and avoids the exit door, he could get himself a decent run at the beginning of next season if Luis is banned.

Still feel good about him, he just hasn't any luck with us to date.

I think he can benefit plenty from Coutinhio's clever through balls.

Hopefully he can score a few before the season ends and get his confidence and form back for next season. Hasn't been easy for him, Still confident he will become quality for us.

Anything more that 6m for Joe Allen and we have been ripped off.

Loads of Joe allens out there.

I would like to see him stay at Swansea myself and see if he can have another decent season. He is a championship player - players like a championship player.

A bit of positive news now that we're facing playing without Suarez for the rest of the season (at least that's the general opinion). Would love for Fabio to score a goal in one of the following matches, could do his confidence a lot of good :)

He might benefit most from Suarez's madness - would of been hard to see him get many minutes, but now he should get a few matches to hopefully get his first league goal.

Best of luck Fabio!

I keep forgetting he's here! Well done and Welcome Back Fabio hopefully he can get a few minutes before the seasons out and bag a goal!! I'd love him to be a success after the nightmare first season he's had but I do honestly fear for his long term future though.

This isn't me going 11m, no goals, never going to come good blah blah blah but our attacking options at the moment are Suarez, Sturridge, Coutinho, Downing, Sterling, Suso, Borini and I reckon we'll buy at least one more attacking third player in the summer who will compete for a starting 11 spot right away and say hypothetically we starting next season with Suarez-Sturridge-Coutinho as our main 3 then we'd have a maximum 2 places on the bench for attacking players so say Downing and the Newbie that still leaves room for Sterling and Suso to come in (unless either go out on loan) in case of injuries/suspentions without even mentioning Borini. I know it's a squad game and we don't want to be in the position we were in at the start of this season but we do not have the resources to have an 11m striker that far down the pecking order. Personally I wouldn't be surprised if an 7m bid came in from Serie A and we took it. I'd be a shame because we've hardly seem him play but its just my gut feeling and opinion.

Wonder if he will still be played wide to accommodate Sturridge this time, think his movement should allow him to play central for a few games

Fabio's movement is absolutely amazing, he is so clever it is unbelievable

I think he has shown glimpses of his ability albeit not alot, i don't think he is a natural scorer, i think hes a weaker version of suarez, i do like fabio, i hope he does well

Saw him live against Norwich and his movement is superb but no one was really picking him out.

I think on the ball hes quite average,  but off the ball so far he's got what it takes. Kind of like our next Dirk Kuyt.

You could have the best movement in the world but if you cant finish then it doesnt mean anything.

He needs to picked out better by team mates and when he does, needs to find the net. I'll reserve judgement until next season. Hopefully he gets a good pre season in and hits the ground running next season

How many sitters has he had and missed though? In the very few games he's been on the field I can only think of a couple. Harsh to criticise the lads finishing based on that. It's not like he's done a Suarez in Moscow.

last season suarez finishing was absolutely terrible and this season his finishing has been average at best, throughout the team we waste our chances, not just borini, its everybody

Because one season is all we need to make our minds up, even better that he was injured for 2/3 of it?

The lad deserves a bit of good fortune.

He's had a pretty miserable first season with us.

He, added to Luis, Sturridge and Coutinho makes for a very good pool of strikers to choose from.

Brendan obviously likes him, IMO he paid too much for Borini and Allen, both Borini and Allen players finding it difficult at this level.  I don't think either player are good enough to pull on a first team shirt, maybe if we qualify for the UEFA Cup play them in there but not in the Premiership.

We will have to sell again to buy new players, so who do we offload, I think Borini is probably on his way along with AC, unless someone comes in with big money for Luis.  Brendan will have to get it right this summer or he will be gone at Christmas.
