Well said Evo. I'd like to see us whistling every time Chelsea get the ball like we did against Juventus it seemed to have the desired effect especially in the 1st half of that game.

For Decades those Liverpool fans under the age of 40 have had to endure(?) arl arses (like me) telling them how awesome  and defining moments the  nights of Inter and ST.Etienne where....well , your time has come!!... tonite this match is the biggest game at Anfield since St.Etienne in 1977...if the fans can lift the players to victory then the game  tonite will join the Pantheon of Inter and St Etienne .........History awaits you!!

I would break a leg to be there tonight! But even if it won't scare Cech or any other Chelseaplayer, i will scream my throat sore towards the bigscreen.

As most of you know I'm a Birmingham City fan but I've been keeping Liverpool FC close to my heart for some years now and I just want you all to know that I too will be screaming at the big screen tonight, along with my two sons, both also Birmingham fans.

We'll be thinking of you all.

C'mon Liverpool, get out there and stuff em!

If it's not your intention to sing and shout yourself fuckin hoarse tonight, then stay at home and give your ticket to someone that will. Not just when where winning either, that's easy. When we need it most, if things aren't going our way, that's the time to make yourself heard.

Go and do one morestella (and the rest of you who attacked Sp1ke).  Sp1ke's sound.  He's travelled all over, and if he had to sell his ticket it must have pulled his innards out to do it.  Don't judge unless you know the circumstances.

Evo's statement needs to be printed off and given to everyone entering the ground tonight!  Come on redmen - I have a sore throat already, I imagine I will not be able to speak after tonight!

Houses smell of mushy peas, cat piss, dope and (in the more extreme cases in West Yorks) ammunition.  Wives look like scarred pitbull terriers.  Children are feral, resembling hungry monkeys.  Bloke wears vests a lot.  Tracksuit bottoms.  Slippers.  Few tattoos.  Wishes he'd joined the army, pretends he was a Para.  Spends too much time wanking...

Great work Sargeant-Major Evo. Have a great night.

If any more motiviation is needed for the crowd to be loud and proud tonight, then do it for the lads who've got us this far but who can't be out there tonight.

Xabi: he came back from a 4-month injury at Juve in extremis, lasted the whole game against all known normal odds, and ran the midfield like he'd never been away. His reward for this effort was a completely unjust booking conned out of the referee by Gudjohnsson's cheating and which rules him out of tonight's game.

Scream yourselves hoarse for Xabi Alonso.

Flo: he changed the face of the game with his half-time intoduction in the pivotal game against Olimpiakos. His running and dynamism scared their defence witless and was a major part of the epic comeback, setting up the equalizer in to the bargain. He may have done little else this term and is out for the whole season with injury, but he was vital to us being in this position.

So come on guys n' gals, go wild for Florent Sinama-Pongolle.

Mellor: a late substitute in the Olimpiakos game, he said he knew whilst preparing to come on that he would get one chance and that he would have to put it away for Liverpool to progress. The chance came, he rifled it home. A clever headed lay-off, let's not forget, was the precursor to Gerrard's stunning, match-winning strike too. Without Neil Mellor, we probably wouldn't be here either. Injury has prematurely curtailed his season too, and he may not do much more in a Liverpool shirt ever again, but he can be proud of his contribution if Liverpool do stride out in Istanbul.

So let's hear it for Neil Mellor too.

Evo's right, the crowd needs to be the most awesome and intimidating of 12th men. Anfield needs to seethe before it can rejoice. There's 40,000 of you that can make this happen. Don't let these three boys down. Enjoy.

So, here's what I'm wondering?  Will anybody actually sit down tonight?  During the Juve match the Kop didn't sit down once, and I certainly think that had a bearing on how much noise was created.  Plus, I wouldn't like to be a Chelsea player taking a corner surrounded by 20,000 STANDING fans, hurling abuse at me....knowing that if I looked up I would have to look them in the white of the eyes.  It's a tough one.  I realise the implications of standing up, and I realise too that it makes it difficult for many younger/smaller fans to get a clear view.  But do the positives outway the negatives?  If the cockney lot are sitting down, an EVERYBODY ELSE is standing up - a sea of red if you will - then that's going to have one hell of an impact.

Personally speaking, I had a major hangover new years day, atmospheres are always shite on new years day games, especially when they decide to kick off at mid-day

So that leads the Chelsea fans into this false sense of security.  Chelsea fans are coming on here calling Anfield a "library" compared to the Nou Camp, because of what happened New Years day

I guarantee 100% there players will shit themselves tonight, I think Juventus are a better team than those wide boys, and look what happened to them  :o
