0' - Reds kick off. Sent straight down the middle to the back and then booted upfield. The bitters return the favour and boos ring out within the first minute.

2' - Pressing in evidence, but, as expected, the opening minutes are scrappy.

4' - Origi with a lovely strong hold up in the middle of the field. Doesn't go anywhere productive for us though.

As we hit 5' we're starting to see the trademark passing and possession of the reds.

20' - The Ev, diving without diving - Valencia goes down on the edge of the box, looks at the ref, no foul, neither is it a dive

22' - Well that was dangerous - the ball came flying across the box from the left but Lukaku can't get to it.

Origi brought down and FK 50 yards or so out. Milner curls it in nicely but Lovren is penalised for tugging.

As the boos ring out, we break, Clyne fires the ball across the box but Origi can't get legs sorted and the ball is fired well wide and over the bar.

46' - James looking intent and the first series of passes are crisp and clean only to be spoilt by a loose one from Divock. A minute later we see a loose one from Bobby too.

47' - Mane sends a beauty through to Milner who controls it well only to fluff his cross and send it way over Divockls head.

We earn a corner and that too comes to nought.

Lads in red are looking more determined now and we're starting to see more of our 'normal' control

49' - Don't know how to explain what I've just seen. Firmino wins a through ball but it hits Stekel's head and then kind of bobbles around - 'prolly 4 red shirt hit the ball from various angles but nothing doing.

The ball will not go in the back of the net.

We're starting to look more like we should be looking.

55' - Lallana does something inexplicable in the box. The Ev break and Lovren takes a Yellow for the team as he bodychecks Lukaku in the middle of the field.

The Ev take heart from that and mount and attack which is duly snuffed out.

57' - wellllllllllllllll, that was close.

Mane to Lallana who flicks the ball through. Mane puts on a tremendous burst of pace and nearly tackles the ball into the back of the net.

Stekelenburg took a nasty knock into the thigh from Baines in his follow through and is receiving attention.

Bit 'o dead leg there but he seems to be okay now.

In the aftermath, Coleman also gets a yellow.

Bloody hell, seeing the replay, that is a stonewall red card.
