Confident about this match, Everton has been rather poor this season. Good chance to open the gap with Arsenal or Man city.

Don't let the occasion get to us. Play with cool heads and we'll beat these. Because quite frankly we're far better than them.

The fact that they've just beaten Arsenal may actually help. If they're cocky enough to attack then we'll put them to the sword with the press and counter. I'm more worried about those yard dogs injuring one or two of our lads than them winning to be honest

Come on Redmen!!
Think we will win this and that our movement will over whelm them. Won't be surprised if we get a penalty or two.
Will be a real bonus if Sturridge is fit enough to be on the bench as Klopp seems to want to protect Woodburn in intense matches so Dan would be a viable option.
Glad Mane and Firmino looked better on Wednesday.
Come On You Mighty Scouse Reds!!

There's no reason why we can't score a couple. We just swept aside one of the most difficult teams to score against, and did so with ease. If Lovren and Klavan are on their game seeing as Everton will offer a lot more going forward than Boro did, then there's absolutely every chance we'll win this.

Be good if they play with a extra man up the top, makes more space for our forwards when we hit them on the break. If they hadn't beaten Arsenal they would have played a 9-0-1 formation.  ;D

Agreed.  With them having beaten arsenal, I think they'll be more confident and inclined to attack us, which could play into our hands.

Are you having a bad Friday night or something? It looks like you've just picked someone at random (and I seem to be flavour of the month to have a pop at right now). I believe he won't play which is why we'll miss him. There is nothing more to it and nothing more implied. I offered my opinion to which you said Klopp hasn't ruled him out to which I replied by saying it didn't sound promising. You're usually better than this. You're just having a dig at one line in my post because you don't like it. I haven't offended anyone with what I've said so I'm not sure why you've taken exception to it.

I'll tell you what. Let's wait until Monday and see if plays, if you're so hung up about it.

I just don't think you understand what no question means.
Balotelli, Falcao, Cavani...

I'll be shocked if it's anyone other Etoo. Etoo or no-one. Simples.

In fact, I'll do you all a favor and ban myself from the January transfer window forum if we get anyone other than Etoo.

It'll be mixture of scud missiles being launched up to Lukaku and as many free kicks and corners as Goodison can muster through their shouts of 'HANDBALL' and 'REFEREEEEEEEEEEEEEE'.

They don't have much to offer and they don't play great football.

Amazing game ... should have been 8 nil but for all the dodgy offsides and the Binman getting all the luck ;D

Hansen and Lawrenson playing like attacking midfielders ... peach of an intervention and defence splitting pass by Jocky for the first.

Let's go for the 8 Monday  ::)

There have been instances where they were in better form than us going into the derby and still lost and vice versa. Form has nothing to do with this game

If a team, let's say are scoring loads of goals, winning games and playing with confidence (not that we are),  that's got to be a factor going into any game surely..

Unreal stuff. I can see Matip doing what Hansen did for the first goal, maybe nipping infront of Barry or Barkley and slipping the ball to Origi!  Would be nice!

Can't wait till it's over, hate this game, the build up,the match itself and dread the fall out if we lose (far more than the manc game on every level)

Over the years, good old fashioned banter has turned to in your face hatred at times, that's no way to approach a footy match with people you share a City with.

Can't find any enjoyment looking forward to an occasion that has been consumed by outright anger, frustration and hatred in recent years.

Winning these games now means so much it ruins the occasion by the fear of losing. Love us to win just like any other away game, love us to win cos it is a derby, but if somehow in the back of mind if you offered me a dull 0-0 draw I'd take it.

Shame it's come to thinking like that, but in my mind it has.

Although we usually tonk these, derbys can go either way. Normally, I love seeing the Ev get beat, but it's great they beat the Arse the other day in more than one way. They nicked a few points off a direct rival and that set them up nicely- got the spitrits up, just to sink lower than the Titanic on Monday night! ;D

Usually don't like Monday night games, but it affords us some much needed rest and iirc, we had some derby joy on a Monday night.

Koeman saying he'll target our defensive frailties.

Good, lurk around our end of the pitch like kerb crawlers, while our lads score over and over and over...

We've drawn the last four or so at Goodison ......surely that cant be right. I was worried about them this season. Thought they'd a goodin in Koeman. Well they do they're just not up and running. We are due a win there and them beating Arsenal will pay into our hands, they'll come out for a go and get their toffee bottoms spanked:)

They're not too spiffy at the back themselves. If they do- we just score more.

If that happened and we win, I can just see the likes of 'Lazar' and the pessimists complain about our "defensive frailties" and how it's bound to come back and bite us in the arse! ;D

Turned into a must win game this which is pretty dangerous. Go about our game in the right way and don't lose our heads and we'll win. If we get sucked into a dog fight and the crowd get a chance to influence the game then I think we could lose this.

Just hope we get the job done and the 3 points.
We’ll still finish in top four - and they won’t. You can quote me on this in May.

I think those saying 3/4 - 0 are a wide of the mark. I see a very tight game, we've been there lots of times before where we think we SHOULD beat them, but it doesnt happen as often as we'd like.

I think it'll be tight, but i think we've got the players and the character to do them.

1-0 will do me.

One of my favorite away wins there [along with the Kuyt one and the Torres one] was when we beat them 3-1, Crouch I think scored twice or CIsse, they were in good form going into that match.

Crouch didn't score twice. It was Crouch, Gerrard in quick succession. Beattie scored for them just before half time, then Cisse scored early on in the 2nd half.
