0'- Burnley kickoff. All in light blue today with hints of claret.

Reds have the ball within the first minute.

Passing it around the back for a bit, knocked forward and kicked back by Heaton.

2'- Hmm, that looked yummy, Origi, Mane, Coutinho combining well to cause a bit of a flurry in the box.

3' - Heaton with a long kick from just outside his box, finds a powder blue shirt in the middle of the field. Closed down quickly enough. Followup ball leads to a corner. Swung wide and to the back, cleared to Boyd who takes a shot but hits it well over.

5' - Gray breaks down the right and cuts the ball back across the goalmouth. Barnes is too slow.

Burnley getting the ball over the defence too often for most of our liking.

10' - Boyd goes down as Can barges him for no reason. Fairly dangerous position 40 yards out. Burnley try to do something fancy but the ball is kicked wide.

12' - No idea what we're doing at the moment passing the ball around at the back.

Mane breaks down the right, gets to the byline and cuts back - Origi overruns and the ball goes behind him.

14' - Klavan receives the ball in the middle of the field and promptly kicks it out.

Minute later, Boyd nicks the ball off Coutinho and is fouled by Can 10 yds inside out half. FK is taken short and comes to nothing.

17' - Fair to say that we haven't particularly troubled the Burnley goal in the first 17 minutes of this game.

18' - Mane with a lovely burst and a kind deflection. Corner comes in and results in another corner. Boyd kicks it out for the 3rd try.

Burnley clear and Milner leaves his leg hanging to stop Gray.

25' - Lowton with a long throw in. Gray gets to the ball, turns sharply but kicks it high and out.

Crowd are not happy with what they're seeing.

Reality is that Burnley are playing more than us.

26' - Inelegant and ugly stuff. We're in their box, cut the ball back but no near enough to any red shirt. Ball comes back and Can bangs it into powder blue legs from the edge of the box.

29' - Ref plays advantage and demonstrate a bit more fluidity through the middle (too slow though). Corner on the other side is dealt with easily.

31' - Question asked about handball as Clyne kick the ball across - nothing given - corner.

Cleared by Boyd, out and back in - Origi climbs and heads weakly towards the Burnley goal. I think that counts as a pass not an attempt, so 32 minutes in without an attempt on target.

33' - Liverpool break and are stymied twice in the middle of the park. The crowd come to life briefly as we threaten to show bits of last week.

Origi earns a corner.

Milner floats in a beauty - goalie punches it and it hits Milner on its way out.

39' - It's so hard to put a finger on what we're seeing today.

There for instance, Clyne just completes a really good run in and then manages to pass the ball to no one.

40' - Origi mistimes a jump in the box and misses the chance to flick the ball to Mane.

Burnley looking as industrious as they did in the first half. They're not sitting back.

48' - Klavan hoiks it long (again) - Gini can't collect cleanly and Burnley hoof it back to Mignolet.

Looks like we're going to try to go over them as well as through.

Barnes goes down and fools the ref. Heaton takes the FK and knocks it very deep. We break from the loose ball - Origi holds it up for Milner who floats it to Clyne, who loses it.

51' - Good defending in the box is followed by sloppy defending allowing Mee a 2nd bite. Comes to nothing but demonstrates Burnleys intent.

We break but Coutinho makes a mess of the pass and they break back. Klavan clears the cross from the left and throw in is safely negotiated.

Coutinho with the ball at his feet makes a darting run but promptly dispossessed and they break back. Not used to seeing Phil being robbed like that.
