Of course i can, you do it all the time, not follow conversations, taking a tidbit you disagree with and drag the whole conversation in a different direction.  It's what you excel at to be honest.

OK, nice chatting once again.

It's easier to sell on your fodder when so many of your ex players and LMA buddies are managing clubs in the same league.

Yes sunderland really have boosted the united coffers over a number of years and number of managers with no sign of it abating anytime soon with one or two on loan there.  Less we forget our blue brothers too.

Hull, Burnley, West Brom to add a few more to the list.

Not sure if this was a great idea..
It’s not even about individuality, it’s about the team. Our game was based on his controlling of the tempo. Squeeze the life out of the opposition and then strike. That is our game. Like a pack of pythons.

I tell you what, fuck the new training ground and give Klopp the £50m to spend on players.

Why is it not a good idea. The first team and youth set up need to operate from the same premises. How is the manager suppose to keep an eye on any young talent if they're five miles away? It should have been done years ago.

Klopp should have more than £50m to spend irregardless. And should spend it all on a good goalkeeper. I am sick of Mignolet.

Plans look well thought out.

I assume the retained Academy buildings will be used by the younger age groups, with the new First Team building will be used by maybe the 18s upwards.

The plans looks fantastic. Obviously I can't comment on what the negative aspects of the development would be so I guess we need people from the area (or use the fields) to advise. Looks like only 3 public pitches will be lost.

This is something that has obviously had buy in from all levels of the club - Klopp wants it and I believe Rodgers did as well so I really think we have to go ahead and do this. This is an investment in the club and its future and also to the community (for Melwood as well) so I don't think you can compare the £50m tag to buying another player who may well be a failure. In any case, investments like financed separately to player purchases.

This should of course  be done in addition to investing in the team and the ARE development - we can't just do one thing and hope that is enough to compete.
Some clubs were always destined for greatness...

I think the plans look cool and with also improving the public pitches and new facilities it should all go ahead fingers crossed!

Yeah I know but he was a Everton supporter even when he played for us in his younger days. His dad had to stomp it outta him. If we stole half the good Everton youngsters I think we could had a great Utd 92esque generation in the 2000s.

Or, just continue to develop our own young talent perhaps!

Really? Who from a Everton minus Rooney has been that good?
I’ve plenty links to the clubs playing and backroom staff as many on here know thank you very much. Fair enough, I admire your optimism. But you’re absolute ostriches if you think this squad, even with 2 or 3 new, “cut price” players with potential get us anywhere close

I remember he was there on loan from Sporting, but thought that was it - a loan. Not that he came through their academy.

You listed them in a response to who has been any good apart from Rooney.

Barton and Rodwell? In my opinion, we need a proper defensive or box-to-box midfielder. And these two, when coached properly, would have been good enough to play for us. I know that coaching isnt everything and that talent, attitude and ability plays a vital role. But we were indeed looking at Rodwell after his City debacle, if I remember right.

The point is, with an effective scouting, it should be possible to lure more kids to Kirkby academy and with proper coaching, they should have been good enough to play for us and England. And we are taking steps to address the 2nd issue. Lets hope the 1st issue gets sorted out as well.

Wasn't Mustafi similar to us and Suso/Pacheco etc where they nabbed him from a German academy, "developed" him for three years then he left? Not a true academy player I guess?

In fact he joined them when he was 17.
