been giving this some thought............

Gerrard's screamer and goal celebration

Gerrard's tackle on Naysmith was a high moment too.

Well, it was for me anyway.
All the badge kissing in the world don't make up for the fact that they are, frankly, not Liverpool Football Club. It's not their fault. Its just how it is.

My Favourite Derby day memory has to be when Gary Mac scored the winner at Goodison with that freekick. I was in the Everton end that night with my Brother in Law who is a blue still don't know how I got out without been lynched.

The first Derby I went to: Nov 87ish (at a guess). McMahon scored in the 1st half and then Beardsley lashed in a 2nd. Mini pitch invasion and some bloke gave Quasi a kiss. I then got to go into the Trophy room afterwards. Not a bad day!

Was in the KOP that day, great to see all the bitters in there leave as Beardsley smashed it home ;D  Anyone got a vid of that goal?

Also remember Beardsley 1st match at Anfield as a blue.  He got injured in our penalty area and needed treatment.  The KOP sang his name so loud you could see he was embarrased to be wearing a blue shirt :D

I wasn't actually there myself as  iwasn't born 20 years or so after it. But i can't belive no-one has mentioned it before.

Sandy Brown!

My dad wasn't able to get a ticket to the match as normal for some reason or another, but the day before the match a mate of his dad's always had the top seats at Goodison and he was goin on holiday i think. So my dad took the ticket and had a great time, enjoying Everton hospitality that day and a great Liverpool win.

What actually makes the story worth telling though, is that for the entire match, he was sitting next to Sandy Brown's WIFE !!!
Apparently he was struggling to stop himself laughing for the rest of the game!
It's awfully considerate of you to think of me here/ and i'm most obliged to you for making it clear/ that i'm not here

my original post is below - feel free to add some of your own favourites! :wave

with Derby Day fast approaching i thought we could mention our favourite memories against the blueshite. Even better with pictures and videos!

i will start with a couple...

Fowler Celebration gotta love the little dance he does to the away fans as well!  ;D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8ytjhmVFO8

Gerrard celebration brilliant!  :D

Kennys goal at Woodison, after 20 odd seconds, when 80% of the ground celebrated.
Rushies four,on a tremendous day.
86 Cup Final, can`t get enough reminders of that day.
Gary Macs free kick,Babbels goal in the same game.
Ray Houghtons header in the cup,at the Park End.
John Barnes covered in white from the lines, while taking all kinds of shite off the neanderthals.
Terry Macs chip at Maine Rd.
Clive Thomas
Jimmy Cases tackle on Pejic.
John Baileys oggie,fat little c*nt.
Rushies last derby, before going to Juve and scoring twice.

3-2 with Fowler snorting the line.

I was in Annie Road that day  ;D

Loads were singing at the end "Goin down, goin down.. Blue Shit's going down" to 3 lions tune and this Everton fan who was in front of us turned around crying and told us to "Shut the Fuck Up". Didn't know what to do so I just pissed meself laughing.  :)

Also, got Gerrards autograph outside the ground a few hours before the match. That's when he came on for Heggem and cleared the ball off the line twice.

Rushie in the 5-0 drubbing, 1986 Cup Final smashed camera and all.
Sandy Brown own goal, i don't think there's been a better own goal since.
Gary Mac's free kick.
When Johnny Barnes back-heeled the banana that was threw at him. Showed true class and dignity.
David Speedie getting two at my first derby we won 3-1.

Sandy brown takes some beating..and 86 was truly special..but no one has mentioned a wonder goal by David Fairclough at Anfield. Watched it from the paddock beneath the main stand at the Kop end which meant he was very far away and it looked even better on telly after. Was only a kid..may even have been me first home derby..maybe that's why it sticks.

There is lots of derbies that stick to mind but I will never forget the 2-0 win in 1987-88 season of the greatest Liverpool side ever. A first half chip by Steve McMahon put us ahead and than a stunning left foot volley by Peter Beardsley wrapped up the points for the reds. I will never forget the celebrations after the goal with a man in a blue and white shirt running on and planting one on Beardsley's cheek.

Also the 1986 and 1989 F.A. Cup Finals both special occasions. 86 was for winning the double and Craig Johnstone's goal to the 89 final for the 96 that died at hillsborough. The emotions where running high that day also for Rushie scoring a brace in both finals.

I echo them sentiments with the games.  Am I the only one who remembers the shit cup called SuperScreen (or something like that).  We battered them twice.

My worst experience was the 4-4 draw, stood on the Glwadys Street end surrounded by the blueshite, cunting, twatting wankers.

Don't worry your not the only one to remember that mate, It was called the Screen Sport Super Cup and it woz over 2 legs. I woz at both legs and seem to remember Steve McMahon scoring with a header from the edge of the box (may be wrong long time ago). Think it woz 7-2 on Agg, the best thing about it though woz standing with a couple of Blue Shite from work on the Gladys Street there faces where priceless. I also think Walshy came on as sub with his arm in a cast (again unsure, long time ago)...........................

April 1976
I think it was a Saturday morning game and was locked at 0-0 well into the second half.
Cue David Fairclough to come off the bench.
Two minutes from time he picked up the ball on the half-way line, just in front of the Kemlyn Road stand.
He ran and ran towards the Anfield Road End, passing blue shirt after blue shirt after blue shirt.
Then from just inside the box he hit a hard low shot inside the near post.
Pandemonium!
We won the League by one point that season...

It was many years ago and a derby an Anfield. I'd been out drinking on the Friday night with my mates and there was a raffle in the pub for a derby ticket for the kop. It was the old days when we had the pink tickets, most on here should remember that.

Anyway I won! I was amazed, I'd never really won a raffle before and to win a derby ticket was fantastic. I was in the Air Force at the time and home on leave and not able to get to many games.

So Saturday morning I set off with my brother and his mates to watch the game, as we sat on the train I was looking at my ticket, one of the lads asked to look at the ticket. He held it up against his own and things were not good, it was a fake.

Typical, I win a raffle and get a fake ticket. I was disappointed and furious in equal measures. Anyway I hung around outside and tried to get a replacement. There was no chance. So being in the RAF Police and being an honest kind of person I took my ticket to the police station in the ground. I really couldn't think of anything else to do.

I passed the constable the ticket and he took some details then asked me my address. I told him, (I was based in Northern Ireland at the time) He called over a colleague and I was escorted to the kop. So got to watch the game, which was all I was really interested in.

Of course being all seater that kind of thing wouldn't happen these days but for me it was great to go from anger and frustration to happiness in a few seconds. we won 1-0 as well.

Mines got to be a few years back (cant remember which one), was at anfield, The blue shite scored and we went right down the other end and scored. (so quick that sky missed the goal). There was this Everton a few rows in front of us with his back to the pitch, still celebrating telling us all to sit down, just as he did Rushie equalised and up we all jumped. That lad took no end of stick for the rest of the match.
