I guess it is better to play them away and at home than in the final, they might even possibly field an ever so slightly weaker side in the semis than they would in the final.

Bring it on.

Should have beaten them on Sunday, let's show the world that we mean business.

Also no Yaya or Kolo Toure. African Nations Cup!!

If this is true, we won't miss Lucas as much (but we'll still miss him!).  A great draw, really looking forward to beating that shower.

don't know why everyone is so happy about this. I'm sure if the c*nts United won today everybody would be furious at this draw calling the FA corrupt, but now all of a sudden it's a great draw?!

first of all, it would be easier to beat them in a one off game than over 2 legs. They have a much stronger squad, secondly, this compromises our chances of getting to a cup final, and it's been a while, especially at Wembley and thirdly, if we actually win we all know that people will downgrade it by saying shit like "yeah, fuck that Mickey Mouse cup, you won it over Palace/Cardiff, big deal".

Having a Liverpool-City final on the other hand could've been epic.

Hope we pull out all the stops for this, concentrating fully on this. Rotating the squad in the league matches, leaving the strongest for City.

City or Chelsea  ;D

What do you reckon it'll be City away?  Then we'll draw and replay at Anfield.  6 games v. City in a season? That'd be four games in January alone!

Valid points, but the fix was in from the start, methinks.  Anyway, we can beat them, especially with the second leg at Anfield.

I think we`re better off playing City at this stage. Our away form is so encouraging under Kenny i`m confident we can take something back to Anfield.

It will come down to hunger. We want this.We want it bad,and i`ll think that factor will tell in the end.

As they should be. We will be motivated, and teh traveling Kop will put their fans in the first leg, and then we will crush them in the home leg.

definetly, with the traveling KOP we are having situation as if we had an extra player on field :P

Nevertheless..i think without Lucas it will be difficult to win let´s be fair, he was our driving midfielder.. but, it´s not impossible to make it to the final..

City will think they're favourites, while the media and bookies will definitely have them as favourites. As far as I'm concerned though it's 50/50. Made up we've got 2nd leg at home as well. Win the away leg and we're in the final as we're bound to draw at home!!!

I would of preferred them in the Final. Facing either Crystal Palace or Cardiff if we get through doesn't have the same appeal.

Two difficult fixtures now in our schedule doesn't help our chances of getting fourth.
