Had the pleasure of being old enough to see the teams we had during the times ronnie moran was in the dug out and part of the great teams we had. remarkable person did so much that we can look back on with pride.

Saw him at a few Bootle FC games last season.
Ronnie was a true LFC legend,from the 2nd division to European Champions,and nearly 50 years service,what a career.

One of my enduring memories of childhood is looking at the dugout and seeing Paisley, Evans, Fagan and Ronnie sat there - watching, studying, barking at the players. Even as a child I knew I was witnessing something special, magical even. You only need to hear the recollections of Souness, Neal, Dalglish et al about the legendary training sessions and piercing whistle to understand what a genius he was. Terrible news to read but a life well lived and reputation as a true legend of the game most definitely earned. Thanks and RIP Ronnie.

Extremely sad news to wake up to but he certainly lived a great life.

Great childhood memories of him in the dugout beside the likes of Dalglish and Evans. Bit too young to have witnessed Shanks, Paisley and Fagan.

Thoughts are with his family. Rest in peace great man, Ronnie Moran.

While others may get the accolade of being our greatest players this guy is what I can truly describe as Mr Liverpool. A legend who loved the club and his loyalty and passion for it means he is forever implanted on its history.

A great servant who kept even the most decorated players feet firmly on the ground.Hard as nails left back too by all accounts.

Was made up for him he got to lead the team out at Wembley in the 1992 FA Cup final.It was probably his proudest moment and just reward for all his hard work for the club throughout the years.

A great football man who the likes we`ll hardy see again.

My Dad trained as an electrician with Ronnie - when Liverpool offered him a position my Dad's advice was that football was a risky business and he should get a trade behind him first. Luckily, he ignored my Dad's advice.
