Though you might not know what's been happening with Vic, news has reached me that he's recently had an operation to remove 2 small tumours on the brain. I've just spoken to his wife Hilary in Alicante and she said he's sleeping soundly at the minute but she'll tell him I called when he wakes up from bo-boze!

He needs plenty of rest in the immediate but all signs are very encouraging. You can't keep the good 'uns down eh mate?

Updates as and when but a massive first hurdle cleared - well done Vic lad!!

Just come off the phone to Vic and he's making steady progress folks. We had a bit of a laugh about him recuperating - as the weather in Alicante is shocking!!

He told me he remembers falling over in the street and someone running over to pick him up. Whoever it was saw he hadn't just stumbled and called an ambulance - smart work there..
Scans must have been ordered rapido and his operation followed.

Big kudos to the Spanish hospital so Gran trabajo y gracias!!

No thanks necessary fellas. I want to say it was a pleasure but the circumstances dictate it wasn't. Gave him as many names as I could remember today - he's still a little bit wobbly (to be expected of course!) plus the line was a bit naff so couldn't catch everything he was saying. Seems the hossie was in Valencia he said and thankfully they were on the ball. He thanked all of yous on here for your good wishes and as soon as his PC is up and running, I'd be surprised if he didn't make a personal appearance on here!
