There's definitely been times when the quality has nosedived, but I thought this season was near perfect.
The pacing was well executed. Everything was nicely ticking along just under the surface until the final few episodes when it kicked into gear.
Dar Adal and Quinn, two of the strongest characters, featured heavily. Finally, it was full of the sort of tense moments Homeland specialises in.
The last episode itself was a slight letdown. It was perfect up until the "Six Weeks Later" part. I felt like they skipped over the significance of what happened before, and the character himself deserved more recognition.
Quietly optimistic for the show's future, but they'll have to introduce some engaging new supporting cast members. The best characters continue to be the ones we've known all along, and their numbers are decreasing now.
