I think the 10pt deduction will be the last Portsmouth get.

The club have incorporated the "Community" aspect and the league will get fucked if they attack the club again

I hope the new club gets out of the lower reaches as soon as possible

My God. They owe some shit players a lot of money. Hayden Mullins, David Kitson and Liam Lawrence are all owed over half a million pounds. Obscene. The kicker is Tal Ben Haim, the fat immobile slob, is owed £1.6m for less than 50 games played. It's horrific. I've respect for any player who walked away and passed up on being paid. Do greedy bastards like Kanu and Benjani really need that extra cash?

Worst part is I'd wager most of those sums are compromises, rather than the actual salaries owed. I think it's an interesting, but likely controversial move by Portsmouth to allow these figures to be released. Perhaps a reminder to all fans about the dangers of fiscal insanity in the PL and the massive sums of money even average players in the PL can earn.At least their fans know where their remaining parachute payments are going.

Reminds me of that (probably untrue) fact that Leeds were still playing Fowler's wages when he re-signed for us.

Anyone sometimes wonder if this is what LFC needed?
Wouldn't be feasible unless staying as a stable, mid-table side is what you're after. We'd need all sorts of backing to be able to get the new stadium up. After that, it'd be perhaps possible. Too much money needed though at this level.

Definitely true. Can't imagine the sort of business brains that get teams into these kind of messes...

Great news this, really pleased for them. :)

All that and the Supporters' Trust owns Fratton Park too.  A big Well Done!

You all say congrats now, just wait until they're back in the Premier League and hold us to a frustrating 0-0 at Anfield ;)

Amazing to think its only six years since they won it.

Congratulations to them anyway, we're fortunate our ownership issues were dealt with before they spiralled completely out of control like at Portsmouth.

Portsmouth to sell themselves again

This makes me sad.  I thought owning themselves was the whole point.

The guy who almost ruined Disney isn't he?
Maybe the group, led by your leadership, will see these drafts as PR functions and brilliant use of humor

The deal is really about securing that guy's image rights.  Disney's next live-action flick is The Little Mermaid and they need a hideous underwater villain.
