That's one of the greatest debut album's ever.
It's funny Dave, I use to hate my brother's musical taste, it was all Deep Purple and Black Sabbath yuk, yuk. But one day I came across the King Crimson one and I loved it. I remember listening to In the Court of the Crimson King, the lyrics are brilliant and you can just picture it all in your mind as you listen to it. Quality stuff.
What about this guy's wonderful voicehttp://youtu.be/NHFv30udcHs
Jill,I love Billy Preston.I was listening to this piece on a bike ride today and I pulled over to really listen.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Rb77-GR5EY
Ah well great minds think alike eh Dave. Got to say I prefer his version to Micks.
Definitely, more blues and soul than Mick could ever manage. Here he is with Ray Charles live, and you don't even notice Ray on the piano.http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=fvwp&v=Ikb40zUdGAA&NR=1
Wow not only can he sing, he can't half move too! Really good stuff.
Have you ever seen the duet he did with Nat King when he was 11? He's 11 and so talented.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxSHBIXfFPE&feature=related
The late great genius,Gil Scott-Heron.You cannot not be moved by this piece.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSoTLmsnKvY&feature=related
anyway, my nomination is beverley knight. absolutely criminally underrated if you ask me. how she's not more widely recognised is bizarre.
Can't believe that I just found out that he died, I remember listing to his last album a couple of years and loving it, then starting to dig on his early works, that album is a masterpiece. I feel truly gutted now.
Finished at the age of 26. The Mike Tyson of football.
Myles Kennedy, such a great voice. Very underratedhttp://www.youtube.com/v/51BPETCl3_I?version=3&hl=en_US
