Is it confirmed that Henderson won't make it? Thought he would be back for it?

He's not back in full training yet, but has been training and there's three full days before the match, so he might make it to the bench at least.

Cheers. Really hope he can play some part although hopefully not starting in a 3 with Can and Wijnaldum.

Nobody is fucking bedwetting. We're having a reasonable discussion, based on everything we've seen so far this year with out side through various parts of the season, with and without certain players.

It is actually a common sense approach.

As far as the international fixtures go, it's the biggest waste of time and resources. International tournaments used to be the pinnacle of football, but they're anything but that today. They are a massive hinderence in every aspect. I rather see this club win everything in sight than my country win anything.

People still find it hard to believe that players actually desire to play International football, and play on this very big stage... y'know, like the World Cup and the European Championships which is, all told... quite a big draw isn't it? So players want to be part of that. Not sure what difference it is 'being English' etc.

'Movin' on...'

Fuck off Hodgson. (For old times)

Not doubting that but to try and play on with a tweak in a qualifier, against a team who were already a goal down isn't intelligent game management. Sure World Cup final, carry on with your broken kneck

That's the problem, England do need their best players to beat even the crappiest teams. There's a reason Southgate isn't managing a top club team, and that's because he is not very good.
Along with the medical and training set up. Boersma levels of player mismanagement. Funny how many players get crocked playing for Engurland.

This has to happen more to us than any other team surely, seems like any international break something happens. I dread seeing a player thread new the top in case its something serious. Wasn't Torres seriously injured playing for Spain when in his prime? Fed up with it, don't know anyone who cares about internationals anymore.

There were rumours that Klopp might make a mention of this in his press conference, he is not supposed to be happy about the treatment that some players get, in comparison to others. Anyway something to look out for I suppose.

Yeah. Guess that's internationals for you. You go from a training and fitness routine, including a diet that you are used to, to one that your body is not(or in Adam's case- incompetence). And then it breaks.
A problem that I can't see resolved anytime soon.

If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Could be worse, we played Spearing in CM at Old Trafford once, and Rossiter against Arsenal if I remember correctly.

And Brad Smith at Chelsea during a title challenging season.

It seems we're always one or two injuries away from disaster for as long as I can remember.

Last week I got my head bitten off on here for saying we were miles away from winning the league.

We lose a player (who can be very inconsistent) to injury and the fall out is amazing.

Get my point now?

We need far more quality options if we're ever going to challenge at the top of the table.

Your point that we need better players? Wow, well that's a novel idea!

Hardly surprising. Up to 30 injuries this season. Well on course to smash the record set in 2015/2016.

As for International football. It's barely a fart in a tsunami, which makes it all the more infuriating.

Exactly, this is the fucking stupidest part of it - We played Sunday, if Lallana was a guaranteed starter for the qualifier, he should've either not started or come off at HT. No way should he have played 65 mins. Why the fuck he was then made to play 90mins (with or without an injury)? Itis just taking the piss.
