Even if it is true and he has been arrested, it could still be something and nothing. There are lots of complaints made between partners/ex-partners that have very little too them.

If he has done anything bad he is a complete idiot and deserves anything he gets but let's at least wait and see what the truth is.

Amazing the hypocrisy on here sometimes, apparently not everyone gets to be innocent until proven guilty.

There's already been a Downing thread locked, lets not get this one locked too by discussing what is all rumour, gossip and speculation.

Does Kompany miss this one of Red card upheld anyone know?
We just leave them be for a while, take a breather, let them settle, then bang!  All over them like a tramp on chips.

Should do. They kick in immediately nowadays dont they?

He'd return for the 2nd leg.

I expect Manchester City to be brought up on charges first thing Monday morning for failing to control their players as they surrounded the ref following the sending off.

Hate seeing things go Uniteds way.. but seeing Kompany sent off means that City will be missing (in my opinion) their 2 most important players against us i.e. Kompany & Yaya - then that can only be to our advantage.

Will probably mean Richards at CB.

Which would be very nice. Not only does it remove him from being a danger at RB but he's also been no great shakes at CB.

Not as pathetic as that post.

They'll still have the likes of Silva, Aguero, Nasri, De Jong, Richards, Hart, Clichy, Balotelli, Dzeko.

That being said I hope we have a real good go at them. Playing the best part of 90mins with 10 men is knackering. And they've had a busy schedule as it is. Forget that its the away leg and the 1st leg, and Man City, and get at them right from the off.

Isn't this our best chance to beat them? Playing 80 minutes with 10 men against Man Utd just 48 hours before our game? And without three of their most influential players out?

Maybe not pathetic, but still we need to take our opportunities when they come, and this is a huge opportunity to get to a final. Can't mess it up.

I'm not so sure. I can see that being repealed. It was so ridiculous it is untrue.

If kompany is out for both legs then it becomes 50-50 for me with no Ya Ya or Kolo Toure too. Probably Savic and Lescott at the back.

The shame here is that United are winning so easy that City can effectively down tools now and start to protect players. There's no way they are coming back into this game so Mancini might as well take Silva and Aguero off on the hour and save their legs.

Would be much better if it was close to the end and there were more tackles flying about. United will get 6 here.

Wouldn't get too excited just yet folks, they may have a couple of key players missing but they really do has quality in abundance all over the place!

Wasn't a red card imho but it should not be overturned as by the laws of the game a two footed tackle is a red card.

We should go all out at them. Last time we had all the ball just didn't actually go into the box and attack. Now it's our chance. Hopefully with Gerrard and Bellamy starting we'll win. Maxi should definitely start too.

Or what they have now with Lecott and Richards in the middle and Milner at right back? Would think Clichy will come back in on the left. Barry is back for our game isn't he?
