I am Seeing Things in 3D
« on: November 16, 2012, 06:17:50 pm »
For the last thirty minutes, I've been seeing things, kind of floating about, letters and emoticons towards my eyes and away again.

It's a bit odd, since I am not drunk or high and am at work. Is this a function of working in front of a computer screen for 9 hours a day or have I finally lost the plot?

The word plot just flew towards my face and kind of hovered about for a good ten seconds before fucking back off. Oh dear god.

get a WSA done in work mate.go from there.Id likely put it down to straining your eyes...do you wear glasses or contacts at all?

Alternatively give the local mad house a call and they will come and restrain you and take you away. :wave

Or use some bonjella on your eyes of course.this is likely to be the best solution

What's WSA mate?

I have good vision normally, but I do strain here. Our office is either very dim or much too bright, so we often pick the latter option. Took a walk outside for a couple of minutes and it's gotten a wee better, but fuck me it's petrifying.

Every time we move to a different desk we have an assessment. If we dont move we have one every six months or so. Ask questions about the screen, your eyes, your seat, the temperature, the lighting etc. If you're starting to see shit, get it sorted. Could be serious.

sorry mate as barny has mentioned its a work station assessment.Your company  should give you an assessment. It sounds stupid but they do help.It may be just that your sitting too close or too far away from the screen. There may be reflections etc on your screen which wont help...You should take regular breaks if your job entails sitting in front of a screen all day.It doesnt sound like much and its all a little bit over the top Health and safety but theres plenty of things that can be done to help in the workplace.

failing that, get to a doctor.or go the cinema and go watch a 3D film without the glasses, thatd be cool

Ahh, thanks! Yeah, I sit in front of the monitor all day, as it's a software job. Should be used to this by now really, first time it's happened to me. Even with years of playing video games. The breaks seemed to help, walking outside, etc.

Sadly by the time I got to the porn, the symptoms have disappeared. I should recreate this immediately.

Well, I'm already fucked with three of them, why would I add another dimension?
