Every game is going to be hard. It's really simple though. If we play well we'll beat them. I expect Gerrard and Rodgers to have the team pumped up for this. There's no point failing for lack of effort.

I like looking back at previous tea leaves prediction myself. Last time they suggested a 4-2 win for us against City which wasn't too far off. Like you im looking forward to this weeks edition!

Same back four and Mignolet in goal. If Rodgers wants to keep the diamond, he does have some solid options. I'd be tempted to play Lucas, Gerrard and Allen. Each can do each role in midfield if needed. Allen will hopefully provide the energy, Lucas can play and Gerrard can hold.

I'd be tempted to have Coutinho top of the diamond with Suarez and Sterling up top.

Those mocking Norwich, this won't be an easy game. They have a very good record at home in 2014, think they've only conceded 3 goals, they held Man City 0-0. I'm hoping they'll attack us under Neil Adams like they did Fulham, as this will suit us. I have a feeling they may sit back and invite us on. They are pretty woeful at defending set pieces so this may also suit us.

Yeah. I shit you not, when it was 2-2 and then 3-2 I actually took great comfort in the fact johnM said 4-2. It calmed my nerves abit. Think I'm clinging onto anything that gives me the slightest bit of hope. If I didn't I don't think I'd survive these final 4 games!

Radical thought.  Allen in for Hendo, agreed, but why change a successful formation?  If Sturridge is unfit just replace him with Aspas.   Discuss.

Really interesting to see what Rodgers does. Does he bring in Allen and Lucas for Henderson and Sturridge. Or does he bring in Allen or Lucas for Henderson and bring in Aspas for Sturridge. Will probably tell us alot about whether Aspas has a future here.

I'd probably go with Allen and Lucas and go 433 with Sterling and Coutinho wide. Although i think Rodgers might want to stick with 442 so we could see Coutinho at the point and Sterling up front.

Because you can play a diamond with Gerrard, Allen, Lucas and Coutinho at the top, and use Sterling as a mini-Sturridge rather than Aspas, as Sterling is in excellent form and is scoring and creating goals, whereas Aspas has not played for ages and has never shown any real form.
Or 4-3-3 with the same players.
Aspas might have a stormer but he might just disappear, now is not the time to see how an out of form player might fare, now is about playing our strongest team.

If Sturridge is out Luis will be up top on his own and I am sure that will suit Luis just fine and I am going to mention the elephant in the room and that's that Luis and especially Sturridge prefer playing alone.

Already very nervous about this one. Norwich will come out and attack and they have been pretty impressive at home. They were all over fulham as well on saturday but lacked a goalscorer. Anything can happen in a football match so we will have to take our chances and I think we will get a few.

Even worse though I am going to this game and I have seen us play only about 10 times Away from home and every time we have lost or drawn. Hoping that will change.

I would say that the number of assists to each other this season suggest otherwise.

Given the importance of these four games, I hope he doesn't.

He was very disappointing at the start of the season and I don't think it is worth the risk.

I could see Coutinho pushed out to the left in a 433, as a midfield of Lucas-Allen-Gerrard should have enough skill to control the midfield, especially with Coutinho and Sterling as outlets out wide.

I'm curious if someone like Moses could have a role to play out wide though if Sturridge is out. We might opt to have Coutinho-Allen in the middle and Sterling-Moses out wide. I think Lucas deserves a start but Brendan might not feel we need to include so many defensive options in the middle of the park

We should play him in defence really, he doesn't have the mobility to play an attacking role in a Rodgers team.

Considering Aspas hasn't been considered to bring on in place of Sturridge when he has been substituted it is unlikely Rodgers will start this game with him.

The main reason we play the diamond is so we can play our two main goal threats through the middle, much like the 3-5-2. If Sturridge doesn't play we will go back to 4-3-3 which I think suits us better.

Another must win game. Norwich playing to stay up. I reckon it will be a very tough game this. They're fighting for survival and they've got nothing to lose. We've got everything to lose. But I feel as long as we can keep our optimism and momentum, we'll win. We're playing for the title and as we have seen many times, the crowd can have a real impact. Let's enjoy where we are. Let's enjoy every game now.

Henderson out, I have no idea what the impact will be for us. He's always playing, so it's hard to say what happens when he's out. Lucas? Allen? I reckon we'll go with Allen.

Sturridge? Hope he's fit to play. I think his form has dipped slightly. If given the choice, I'd have Sturridge start. But maybe it could be a positive thing if we start with Coutinho-Suarez-Sterling? We'll see.

Just found out I might have a chance of a ticket in the Norwich end for this.

Well up for it but christ knows how I'll manage to keep quiet  if when we score.
I can confirm that on this subject at least, there is an almost cultish obsession, which I find quite unnerving.

Sturridge? Hope he's fit to play. I think his form has dipped slightly. If given the choice, I'd have Sturridge start. But maybe it could be a positive thing if we start with Coutinho-Suarez-Sterling? We'll see.

I think it could be a real positive for Suarez to play centrally on his own again. He's seemed a bit agitated at Sturridge lately because Sturridge has been rather selfish lately imo.

Plus we all know what happened last time Sturridge was out and Suarez took on the striker mantle on his own! (10 in 5 was it? :P)
