Whoscored.com, I love it. But it has limits and they are exposed by the rating of Joe Allen at 6.8 today (ha, as I say that it's magically bumped up to 7.13! Still too low). He was absolutely superb in the first half, his role changed a bit in the second but (unless I'm mistaking identity, not seen it back) there was a truly gorgeous wee pass in the last couple of minutes to Kelly that summed up Allen's confidence. He's put that Everton miss away and today he was super.

Superb.  Got caught dwelling on the ball once, but I thought he was excellent in midfield and going forward.  More clever passes from him in the final third will stand us in good stead.

I've got a feeling that Origi is the real deal, from a couple of games I watched but mainly his interviews there seems to be something about him.

He played very well in the first half and was perfect alongside gerrard.  We lost control a bit when Lucas came on the pitch and allen himself was caught on the ball a few times due to west ham pressing more.

Sloppy giveaway near the end, that apart played very well and gets about the pitch much better than Lucas.

Did well today, really good that he's coming into some form, especially now that Gerrard is injured. He's going to be very important for us in the next month or so.

Bossed that first half and kept the pace up throughout the game.

Cant remember the last time I saw Lucas dominate a midfield with such energy like that, I would be happy to see him carry on starting ahead of Lucas for the time being.

Great performance for 60 minutes today. Faded in the last 30 but that's due to a lack of match fitness. Hope he keeps this level of performance up. Was superb

A great showing. Thoughtful and composed and a great work rate. One poor moment but I was so relaxed watching this midfield and where they were playing on the pitch. We looked great today. This wasn't about how bad west ham were like Fulham. This was about LFC playing at An field and I was loving it.

As I've been saying on the official LFC Facebook where fans were slating and wanting to sell him, he's a tempo setter and not a goal scorer.  He's a little gem like the mechanism that makes the clock tick and not the hands that tells the time.  He's not Xabi Alonso but is an asset to have on the pitch.
If Ayre got £25m out of them he's willing to fuck all the female members of my family on Sunday's.

I was frustrated with his derby performance,  but this one, the best he's had for us. Just keep the ball rolling, setting the pace. A very good game, indeed, and hopefully more to come.

Hahaha :) I found that out the hard way.  Too many bandwagon fans there too.  One loss, draw or miss, they're like sell him.

Next they want is Mignolet to score there ;)

He's like our own Aaron Ramsey who had a slow start with Arsenal but working out brilliantly for them.

Very good today.

I'd say the position was his to lose, but he'll now probably take up the Gerrard role with him being injured.

Either way he deserves his place.

This. His confidence is growing and the skill is there. Allen was very good in the first hour or so, bar a few mistakes, then faded, but later picked up at the dying minutes of the game. That last bit was very encouraging.

Ha ha great question!

Really just looks pompous and pretentious. Even when we were being linked to A-V-B, or Luís André de Pina Cabral e Villas-Boas (see?)...

Liverpool, the city (and the team too), prides itself on it's modest nicknaming abilities. All this full name shit just looks like absolute muppetry of the Manc degree.

Aldo, Digger, Rushy, Souey... (Need I go on?)

Today was a great example of what Joe Allen does well, pressing high, carrying the ball and putting the defense under pressure, and passing the ball deftly. Was a really good performance.
