Good game for preseason like ..

It was different at the beginning. Camera zoomed in on Kelly screaming and commentator went "Shelvey is very commanding for a youngster and instructing his teammates" :p

Enjoyable first half, would've loved to see Pacheco's effort go in. Some good passes by Shelvey and Spearing, Kelly and Flanagan picking up where they'd left, Cole and Poulsen showing some quality. Look forward to seeing Adams, Carroll et al.

Decent first half that. Looks like Cole, Ngog and Poulsen are doing what they can to show their worth. In all fairness I think Cole has looked a threat it might just be a case of too little too late!

Looking forward to seeing a fitter Carroll and a debut from Adam in the second half!

And you know that how? There are many devoted fans out there, many who probably travelled for hours from other parts of China just to see the team.

So far:

Gulasci - Eh. Hasn't done much, goal wasn't his fault.
Kelly - Looks pretty rusty, which is to be expected, but still showing his promise.
Wilson - Couple of good moments, couple of dumb moments. Nothing really to say.
Carra - Doing a bit less hoofing than usual and his defensive awareness is good as ever.
Flanno - Freaking awesome. I really wish he were a bit older so his body could take longer stretches of starts.
Cole - Better than he looked all last season. If he'd played like this we'd have in the very least made 5th.
Spearing - Rusty and trying to do a bit too much, but his engine is great.
Shelvey - Several great plays, several overambitious mistakes (including the one that led to the goal). I think he'd really benefit from a loan to one of the newly promoted teams, or at least a very good Championship team.
Poulsen - Aside from the goal, pretty much invisible.
Pacheco - A passenger out on the wing, but a really great play that almost got him a goal

By the way, the FSC commentator continues to impress... I'm almost positive that he thinks Valerenga is a Spanish team.

Joe Coles was the best player in that half.

Crosssed for the first goal, nice little skillful cameo (with a 360 degree turn) before passing to Shelvey who passed to Ngog for the second goal.

Put a nice ball through to Spearing who was wrongly judged offside when he squared it to Ngog.
