no mate, loved the pivi on lodgie , there is a second summer of love thread somewhere on here about e and raves and that in 1987, the pivi was totally sound  8) had some boss nights in there & the casa on hope street had a few south end characters too.

I used to bevvie a fair bit in The windsor near parlie, the carousel - myrtle parade and Peter Kavanagh's but not the Gladray.

First was Cube, not that I remember a lot of that night.

Worst, possibly Holy Joes. VERY slippery floor (I've still got the bruises to prove it) and the DJ wasn't much good.

Favourite, Bumper. Great music, really good atmosphere, plus it's in a good location.

First - Tiffany's, Fenwick Street. We loved it so much we'd be in there at 7.30!
Fav - Hard to chose between Friday's on a Fridays night or Saturday's on a Saturday night - both in the Adelphi.
But then there was the Raz, Blue Angel, Uglys, the Cabin. LeBateu (??) on Duke St was great also. Rotters was OK.
Worst - could be any of a few in town that attracted knobs but although loads raved about it I hated the Graffton.

Depends whats your scene mate ? we always start in Bar Ca Va ( Tequila Bar ) 1 pound shots, get a bit drunk in there, then head to pop world for the milfs and the classic music :) that's a good night, or you could go around concert square which is a bit pricey, would not recommend concert sq to be honest, also up seal street is good, Alma da Cuba and all those bars there.

Suicide bomber + Concert Sq on a Saturday night = much of Liverpool's problems resolved. It might take a few innocent fuckers walking through to get to somewhere decent, but that is a risk worth taking.

Get a Baked Beans flavour shot in Bar Ca Va. Tastes an awful lot like vomit. Pretty good to be honest.

Worst, possibly Holy Joes. VERY slippery floor (I've still got the bruises to prove it) and the DJ wasn't much good.

Me mate DJ's in Holy Joes  ;D. Bumpers probably my favourite though, just 'cos of the music.

First; Sure it was the Pleasure Rooms, which would now be the worst.

first was mood
worst is probably mood but the office is up ther as well. £5.50 for a double vodka redbull. never again.
best for quality of the night and price is probably nation but the razz, bumper, crazy house and heebies all deserve a mention.
if im feeling a bit rich alma da cuba is place to be.

depends which night it is for which bars ill go to. cava, jacaranda, slaters all dirt cheap and are a good laugh as well. flute on hardman street does £1 a drink on thursdays. peacocks for free bbq on fridays :) been going lagos a lot recently.

you really are spoilt for choice :)

First- Djangoes Riff, managed to get even though was underage at the time, still go there now a fair bit when we go to town. Good cheap beer, cocktails that get you twisted, plus they do Black Absinthe at 79% ABV which is also an experience.

Worst- Either the Office, Cube or Funkybox. All three are just shit holes most nights, Cube on a student night can be ok but all three of them just aren't my cup of tea and just play shite music.

Best- Heebies is big favourite, always good price, and the music on thursday or friday can be amazing, especially in the basement when its full. Plus it has the best birds in town. Also Bumper is very good, with Ca VA and La'GO's being decent aswell.

First place I ever went to was the Superstar Boudour when i was 16 and it made such an impression that I've never been back since, the worst is defianately the one4 think I kept me eyes fixed to the floor the whole time I was in there so I wouldn't make eye contact with anyone. Me favourite would have to be the Jac although its not a club but it has the best atmosphere and a jukebox so you can put some decent music in though most of the music played in there is rather good, only downer is the state of the toilets I've made a bet with me mates that I'll give them £20 if they have a shit in there (I made that bet about a year ago and still haven't had to pay out).

First..

Slaters then Baa bar.  Ended up face first in the gutter courtesy of some bouncer taking offence to me asking every girl for a gobble.

Best was Garlands on a Thursday. From year 11 to year 13. Boss that

 :-X

True story Terry. My uncle's brother ran The She in the 70's and got jailed for having live sex shows there!  :D

Friggin hell, this is bringing back some memories this. Bunters, Cokey, Images, The State, Pickadicks, Conti, Blue Angel, Cabin, Mardi, Fallows, The Red Pepper on Rice Lane  :-X I was also a barman in the Paradox, Fallows and the Kiss paying off my student debts. Fuck me, good times! Does anyone remember the massive black bouncer on Flintlocks with the biggest fucking afro in the world? He was about 6 feet 6 bald, and about 7 feet 10 with his do!   ;D

Nah Jim, I remember him. Hard as fucking nails that bloke. The fella in Flintocks looked like Lenny Henry doing the impression of a bouncer that he used to do on his "comedy" show with Tracey Ullman.  ;D

And talking of the hardest bouncers in town, does anyone remember Harris off the Hippodrome and Kirklands? He used to be one of John Barnes' minders when he was in town. About 5 feet 2 but could jump about 8 feet in the air and kick you about 20 times in the grid before he landed!    :fishslap

Had the (dubious) "pleasure" of watching Tommy and Panama kick off several times inside and outside The State. Like you say, hard as nails - but strangely enough really nice fellas outside of work. Confused the fuck out of me :)
