I've been using Acestreams recently via Kodi for the footy. You need the Plexus addon and you need to have the acestream "engine" running in the background (sideloaded to my box as an app). The acestream links via NJM soccer have been reliable and the quality is excellent.  Overall I'm very happy with it!

Browser streams are a thing of the past! You'll be pleasantly surprised using AceStream if you haven't before.

Acestream are excellent. Not quite sure what Youb means in his post (no disrespect intended, Youb)..... I just downloaded Acestream and use the links provided on this forum.  Haven't knowingly used any addons etc so all very straightforward.

There's an app called "PTV sport" watching Sky 1 on it right now, flawless quality. Also one called LiveNet TV, get on them, much better than looking for dodgy streams. Another worth mentioning is "Torrent Stream controller" will need Acestream which it'll automatically download, these are all for Android devices. Definately worth looking into, All,  flawless for me.

There may be better ways than this but it's what I do and it all works fine............

Download Ace Player from here --> http://acestream.org/ and instal on your PC (or whatever)

Look in Mikael's posts for the Acestream links   eg. acestream://aa7c6b5f1fd8fbae6c4b1e4e2df6659e7179aca1 (Eng)

Start Ace Player running on your PC and select 'Open Ace Stream Content Id...' from the 'Media' menu.

Paste in the Acestream link from Mikael's post (aa7c6b5f1fd8fbae6c4b1e4e2df6659e7179aca1 in the example above). It should start to find several streams and start buffering. If it doesn't, try another Acestream link from Mikael's post.

Sit back and enjoy. Right click to make it full screen.

Open ace player top left of screan click on Media,in the drop down box click on open network stream,in the box that says please enter a network url ,right click and paste the link,
