I always thought the elite one had the embroidered badge and the standard didn't. Not sure in this case.

The best kit in the last decade was the 2008/09 one. I absolutely loved that one.

I actually like this one and am seriously considering ordering it, wouldn't mind paying for the Elite if its worth the quality and durability. The only thing I got from the Shop was a retro Jersey and it was worth the money.

The elite is the players issue, all the tech vents, meshing to help with wind resistance and some finish reduce moisture.

Normal one will still be embroidered badge

The sponsors wouldn't be happy though, would they.

The reasons thy pay us gazillions of cash is to get their brand out there.  Not for it to be omitted.


Don't get me wrong, I prefere shirts without sponsors myself, and the new rules regarding sponsorship on the sleeves etc, is just gonna make the shirt even more cluttered.

In the past, when our main sponsor was Carlsberg, you could still purchase an under 18s shirt without a sponsor, as it was against the rules to have alcohol sponsoring on clothes for minors. ( so you could have the option of no sponsor)

Again, it is against the rules to advertise alcohol in certain countries, which also means we played in sponsorless shirts on occasions.

Ha Ha. That's my thoughts exactly.

It's a throwback to the white 'V' neck 70s kits, with a bit of homage thrown in for the collars and pinstripes of the 82-85 kits.

The top of the socks though is probably taken from the kits of the 1950s/60s.

The white in the collar picks out the bleached teeth of the players nicely.  The yellow of previous kits picks out the teeth of the general public better.

Just gave the kit a good inspection in the club shop in town. It's really nice.
Nice to see the crest embroidered rather than the cheapo iron-on nonsense.
My only slight gripe is the pointless white stripe under the arm and a similar red one that runs across the back of the neck and across the shoulders. That does have '125' stamped on it,  but it does seem like can pointless tweak that takes away from the classic feel of the shirt. Anyway, as I said, just a small gripe. Nice shirt!
