Nowhere near as good though, shame Adriano had/has a screw loose.

I do love a striker who just hammer's fuck out of the ball.

Batigol will forever the master of it.

I wouldn't be surprised if he did very well but 38m for a player base on 2 decent(not great) scoring seasons baffles me.

I'd call 28 goals in 40 starts and then 20 in 33 better than "decent".
I'm really hoping Sturridge busts out the wacky dip when he scores.

Very greedy though, had he been tackled it would've been a disgraceful bit of play.

Didn't all the Chelsea fans say Drogba and Torres: unstoppable? It wasn't. So who is to say Hulk Hazard and Torres will be. Firstly Torres isn't as good. Hulk and Hazard will need to then get used to English football and I don't rate Hulk that highly. Falcao was the best one at Porto.

Y'know... will be interesting to see how Chelsea work that.

Torres will be the main striker. Hulk will probably play from the right. Assuming they take a 4231 that means one of Hazard or Mata will have to give up their beloved #10 role. Marin will probably be a bench player, he isn't that good at all.

What happened to that Piazon lad they signed?

Schurrle? Hadn't heard about that.

            Torres
Mata    Hazard  Hulk

Formations don't have to be that rigid either to be honest, not hard for Hazard and Mata to rotate throughout the matches, we do it all the time with our attackers

Definitely. It's an extremely strong lineup on paper, Hazard seems to think he's the dog's bollocks though and I'd expect Mata to spend most of his time in the #10 role. Hopefully Hazard has a waah. Wishful thinking maybe.

If they get Schurrle then they'll have a boss frontline, especially if Torres ever returns to form.

That is disgusting. Even without Torres, you could play Hulk up front in a front three. A decent CM and they'll be laughin

I really don't like chelsea, really annoy me as a club and one of the few in the league i have real dislike for but that is a hell of a strong attack. Hulk isn't an amazing player in my opinion but he's still a good one and he will improve here AND suits the league. I was one of those moaning about Mata all last summer and Silva in the summers before his move to city because they were both clearly top talents suited to the league over here and for me Hazard falls into the same group.

I hope Torres flops again next season and they put a lot of faith in him and don't bring in any other strikers. Chelsea (if they tie up the hulk deal and bring in two or three others) will be up there challenging next season. They have moved quickly in this window and are making signings with real intent. I wish we would do the same but i'm sick of banging the same drum over that. Arsenal looked to be in the same boat with the Podolski deal being wrapped up so quickly and the M'Vila one looking like following it but that seems to have broken down so i'm still unsure on them. Since Flamini they haven't really had that real battler in the centre to break up play for them, i do rate song but M'Vila would be a strong strong signing from them.

Teams are making very big moves in this window and the league next season is going to be harder than its ever been. Roman is showing with these signings that he won't allow his team to rest on this seasons 2 cup wins, he means business and they're looking strong already with 2 huge signings

That is pretty awesome.  But the likes of Cole, Lampard and Terry aren't getting any younger and someone is going to have to push them out of the squad.  Villas Boas tried to and look what happened to him.

They will be phased out, many think its unlikely and this whole player power thing comes up but it will happen. Terry is in most danger (and rightfully so), he's made some appalling mistakes this season and the very players he partners have the ability to keep him out of the side given a manager with the balls to drop him, very similar to the Carragher situation here with Agger and Skrtel. Luiz and Cahill are talented centre backs and are only going to get better. Cole is still brilliant, i hate him but i give credit where its due, he's still got alot of time left in him in my opinion, still puts in star performance and doesn't seem to be losing pace or stamina. In Bertrand they have an excellent back up who can be eased in and got a decent amount of gametime last season, that cup final with have done him the world of good. Lampard is still a very good player aswell, still grabbing goals and playing good stuff, i think AVB was a little hasty in trying to force him out and Lampard isn't really the arrogant 'i'm better than everyone' type, i think he will respectfully accept when the time comes for him to take more of a bit part role, but he realises that time hasn't come yet and he can still contribute a huge amount. His experience is very important for their side and their manager shouldn't be in a rush to force him into a squad player role.

There are 32 European clubs who are in the Champions League. My argument is that players don't need a guarantee of it to sign for a team, like so many others have claim. Obviously all these players would happily sign for Arsenal, what with them actually being guaranteed Champions League football? No they wouldn't and you know it because they won't offer the same wages as a team that finished three places lower down the league than them. You have seemingly agreed with that point even if you don't understand that you have agreed with it, and in the process you've managed to attack Liverpool a number of times while praising Chelsea to the hilt. As most Liverpool supporters would. Especially the ones who sit on the famous Kremlin Road or famous Enfield Road. Not sure about the ones on the Spyin Kop though.
lol.

It was a typo, you blert.

Its still fucking ludicrious to suggest the only reason you would pick a team in a champions league final, but possibly going to finish 6th, over a team that finished 8th is money. Not saying that money doesn't come in to it, as it obviously does but even before the CL win Chelsea had a more successful season than ours which makes them a more attractive proposition. Not hard to understand is it?

Problem is ramires has played his best football at chelsea while play in the wide right position. He hasn't got the passing for to me play center mid especially as one of the two deeper midfielder. Tim Vickery seems to suggests it why he won't be picked next to lucas for the national team anymore even if he's a bloody good player.

Completely forgot Chelsea had signed De Bruyne as well.

Really are stocking up in wide areas arent they.
