Welcome to the best club in the world Christian! I hope to god you score a mountain of goals for us. This is your stage, this is your opportunity. Take it and you will be loved by millions.

One thing that strikes me from the goals he scored last year is the variety of them. Inside the box, outside, left foot, right foot, header, crosses, through balls, running at defenders, late runs into the box, he's not this '1 dimensional' number 9 that I thought that he was.

I still have my reservations purely because I haven't seen the lad week in, week out but part of me (the optimistic Liverpool fan in me) thinks that if we can get the best out of him he could be an absolute beast!

I think he meant that as thanking "The owners; Mr. Ian; and the manager" rather than "The owner: Mr. Ian; and the manager".

We've moved back up into second place behind Spurs in the bag a belgian race, City may well catch us up with De Bruyne but at least we've now moved ahead of Chelsea, United and Everton. There's only Arsenal who don't believe that maximising Belgiques is the way true success. Upset that we've been taken to the cleaners (for the nth time) for a player of his calibre and never wanted him for that fee, we might as well have just added 5mill more and went in for a higher class of player with more proven quality.

I'm saying this now, if he (Christian Benteke) scores more than 16 goals for us next season i'm eating my cock.

That being said if he gives his all, tries his best, and genuinely wants to play for us and is willing to play out of his skin and scores, Then that's all we can really ask for and i wish him the very best of luck whilst he is here.
