Yesil has just scored his first goal for FC Luzerne in a friendly against FC Kaiserslautern.

And he's just scored his second.

Not a bad first 15 minutes into your debut.

still think he can become a very good striker, if he stays fit that is.

He always gets himself in the right positions. Just needs to take the chances and build confidence

You may be right but I think it's highly unlikely it'll be for Liverpool

With all of these players out on loan, and most of them possibly never coming back, like Ilori, Markovic, Wisdom etc, are we going to be looking at 10 signings next summer again?, seem to be in a constant state of transition.

Does going out on loan mean the club has given up on you?  Empire Of The Kop has done the maths...

http://www.empireofthekop.com/2015/09/03/proof-that-liverpool-in-the-loan-market-is-a-myth-and-a-total-waste-of-time-and-money/

A problem I see is that the statistics for staying in our own youth/reserve/U21/U23 sides then making it to the first team aren't produced as a comparison.
As for this list, Nikolay Mihaylov went on to be first choice for Twente for 3 seasons and has 31 caps for Bulgaria, and Péter Gulácsi was champion of Austria twice as well, so those two established themselves as well, albeit in weaker leagues.

No, you don't need to replace a loanees position in the squad.

If Ilori does well can't we just offer him a new contract? They have an option to buy, but they'd still need to agree personal terms though, right?

Option to buy just means they can buy him at a fixed price.

Do you think he'd want to stay here unless we threw money at him? Can't see the incentive.

No body has mentioned it but Balotelli came on and had an absolute stormer for Milan the other night vs Inter. He'll be the main man again there soon if he keeps that up even with Bacca and Luis Adriano.

Could be wrong but can see the fee just being the amortisation of the transfer. Prob half of what we paid for him basically.

He seems to playing in the attacking mid position though... Very strange for me. I thought he deemed himself as an out and out striker.

I don't know about being an out and out striker but he always said he didn't like being up front alone. That was one of his main complaints last season - that he was too isolated.

I went to Swindon away at Bury earlier on in the season. Jordan Williams looked the part, really hope he makes it here, Vigeroux looked decent (although I don't think he will make it here), Stewart was fairly average and was replaced with Anton Rodgers whilst Swindon were 2-0 down who changed the game and was by far Swindon's best player. It's a shame Kent couldn't go there on loan with Stewart/Vigeroux moving on a permanent deal. The game finished 2-2 by the way.

Again another demonstratiom of Rodgers' inability to choose players to fill positions that they are suited for. What are the odds that Balotelli could have done better playing int he same position for us?

Wasn't Balo bought to play in a pair with Sturridge? Seemed to work ok against Spurs.

Well good luck with that as Rodgers doesn't play with two strikers on top. Unless they make it unavoidable for him. A shame.

Of course he was, if Sturridge ever gets and stays injury free. But as much is he also a replacement of sorts for Sturridge. And I have no doubts that we will see Sturridge in some wide forward type of position when he comes back.

And didn't Suarez in the beginning after Sturridge arrived played like a wide forward and with Daniel as the central one?

He's a second striker for me, great link up play and can hold the ball up well to. Too lazy to play up front on his own.

I hope he does well for Milan, he's the opposite of what rodgers wants here. AMazing we even considered signing him in hindsight.

I hope Balotelli's move goes well, and if it does then it seems to present a problem for Milan who have a number of strikers on their books:

Torres (AT ATLETICO)
Bacca
Menez
Luiz Adriano
Niang
El Shaarawy
Balotelli (LOAN)

So...why the hell did they want him in the first place?
But, if they do take him, then do we fancy a go at a p/x?

El Shaarawy is on loan at Monaco with an option to buy and Niang has scored 1 goal in 38 games for Milan.

Fairly obvious Balotelli won't ever lead the line. If you are to play him it's as a SS, someone like Bacca would compliment him well.

Played well for Fener for a win at the weekend to continue their unbeaten start to the season.

In other news, Tiago Ilori turned out in midfield for Villa's U-21 on Monday and put in an "impressive display"

I was wondering if Villa would try him as a defensive midfielder. They need that desperately and they already have two veteran CDs.
