Garcia wasn't in

Andy's was
Neither were in.

But that doesnt matter a jot when you read the mornin papers.

Liverpool deserved to win that game in 2005.

They didnt do enough to win this one today.

Players who are worth their salt will learn more from the heartbreak today than they would from a season of mediocrity.

Those who do not...were never meant to be at Liverpool in the first place.

And a pretty shit song at that. Not inspirational just boring and monotone

Yep, that's true as well. I've always preferred Land of Hope and Glory...of course that portrays the imperalistic nature of Britain nicely as well, but it also has a more inspirational melody, because it builds up to a big finish. Our national anthem is rubbish, and just sort of stays rubbish...

The quality of the song You'll Never Walk Alone can never be questioned. I know pretty much nobody who doesn't like the song, even if they don't like the football connotations. As I said, You'll Never Walk Alone is a way of life. It tells you everything you need to know about Liverpool Football Club, that's for sure. Listening to the fans sing it in the injury time of that game tells you why today's defeat is just a blip. We will come back. You'll Never Walk Alone separates the true Liverpool fans from the fake ones. The fake ones were slagging off the players and the manager all through the game, slighting Andy Carroll at every opportunity. The real ones were always behind the team until the final whistle blew (and even after). That is what You'll Never Walk Alone means to me.

Less than a third of our transfer expenditure. The rest went on British players.

I can see how "we spent 2/3 of our budget of British players" doesn't quite have the same ring to it...

Of the money we spent, I'd only really question the £20m on Downing.

£8m for Adam was fine, he was meant to be a squad player.
£13m + add ons for Henderson is fine as he is a young player, still learning and maturing.
£35m on Carroll was under exceptional circumstances and I fully believe he will come good.

Prior to the game there were a lot of worries about our midfield in comparison to Chelsea's but there wasn't that much between them in all fairness. Spearing made a bad mistake for the first and Ramires was too quick and strong for Enrique and Lampard got past our midfield for the second far to easily. Aside from that, they didn't really dominate, though in fairness, they didn't need to, we didn't do much until Carroll came on and we were 2-0 down.

I think it's clear it's an area we need to improve in next season as none of our players bar Lucas can play well in that position. Some may with other players beside them but in absolute terms, we need to improve that area. That'll go a long way to making us a better side.

And Carroll - we should be using him more and today showed what he's capable of. More of that from him please and more of us using him please.

Thought we started off badly and the game was in danger of drifting away.

Surprised Downing stayed on for so long and Bellamy didn't play well. Has our poor form contributed to today? Will never know.

For my money, Spearing is another Lucas. We wanted Lucas gone a few years back and now we all love him. Give the lad another year.

When Lucas was Spearing's age he was bossing Chelsea off the park at Anfield when we beat them 2-0. Spearing isn't, not all young players who are initially criticised will turn out like Lucas has unfortunately.

But what's the fucking piont pal?

Two hours after we lose a cup final is hardly the appropriate time to question whether or not Kenny will be in charge next season, do you think? What point should we deduce from your comment apart from the fact you want Kenny gone? your a disgrace to be honest.

We may finished 7th, the same as the last 2 seasons, we've played teams off the park this season with no reward.

I'm convinced Kenny will put it right next season, with the addition of 2 or 3 new players.

Agreed.
Worth remembering that Yes Kenny brought the likes of Downing in but they, as players, have a responsibility to work hard and make intelligent choices.
This season will be invaluable for the players and management, in terms of learning and progressing.

Don't think you can fault the starting line up. Think most would have been happy with it. But in hindsight I feel like we could have done with Shelvey in the middle. With Gerrard playing so deep there was too much of a gap between our midfield and Suarez. Either Maxi or Shelvey to bridge that gap would have worked better imo.

What the actual fuck does Hodgson have to do with it? Hodgson is not one of us for innumerable reasons, some of which where not his fault and many more of which he subsequently demonstrated. Kenny is. Kenny, for all he's done for us in the past, deserves support, respect and time—if he wants to go, fair enough—but if we boot him, we're no longer any different from any other plastic club, and any notion that we're any longer somehow special is gone. I can't believe some of our Bulls fans still can't get their head around this.

I cannot get my head around us getting less than 58 points this season. You can? I support Liverpool FC not the manager or any individual player. Fortunately the owners share my opinion and not yours. Noone is beyond criticism. Get over the plastic club BS. We need to make decisions that move us forward. We tried with Kenny and I supported it at the time. I'd did not work out.
Yes I support the Chicago Bulls too, so what's your point?

The only one showing disrespect is you, what with the garbage coming out of your mouth and such.  Last time I checked, Kenny said no one person is greater than the club.  I will always support and respect for everything he has done and continues to do.  Go rub one out and go to sleep, fella.  :wave

our squad is too small to cope with the number of games we have had this season

enrique has been pooor for a few weeks

next season we need to manage the squad better so that players are not playing to many games

i would play shelvey now for the next 2 games

i think we have missed a trick not playing shelvey today

Nah.

Personally, I support the England team for precisely that reason. Nice to have shared experiences with your fellow countryman which you can cherish together and feel pride in what you collectively stand for. It's the same with Liverpool, mind, but that doesn't mean that something like the World Cup or European Championships shouldn't be an opportunity to support my country. What I don't really understand is people on here willing England to lose. I know that maybe players like Gerrard swanning off to Ukraine and South Africa probably isn't ideal for his fitness, but why not enjoy it? You don't have to support just one team...(and I know the FA is run by a lot of technocratic, greedy cuntbags, too, but so were we for a few years and that didn't stop me supporting Liverpool Football Club)
